Hi, all. My other main hobby besides trains is making MIDI files of classical music into (semi) believable MP3 files. I do this with the use of two free programs: 1. MuseScore MuseScore homepage I use it to make my MIDI files. I transfer the music note-by-note into the program from the original score. 2. SynthFont SynthFont homepage I use this to tweak my MIDI files, apply soundfonts (samples of real instruments) and effects, and to save the final MP3. I will sometimes use MIDI files that are not my own, usually from ClassicalMidiConnection or the like. Any that came from them I will make a note to say so; otherwise, I make the MIDI files. Here's probably one of my best, hope y'all enjoy it! Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat Major, K. 495: II. Andante (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) Edited by mozartman1756, Jan 29 2013, 08:37 PM.

Turlough O'Carolan was a blind harpist/composer in Ireland during the 18th century. I did a little short harp solo by O'Carolan that I'm pretty proud of and I thought I'd share. It's called Carolan's Concerto. My soundfonts often sound best as soloists, especially my harp and pianos. This is a prime example. Yes, this was a MIDI. I arranged and sequenced it myself. Enjoy! |

Bought myself an orchestra-in-a-box type thing - well worth the $250 I paid for it. Mozart: Concerto for horn and orchestra No. 4 in E-flat Major, K. 495: III. Rondo [excerpt] Edited by mozartman1756, Sep 19 2014, 09:53 PM.
