Gwen was walking along the corridor during her first period along with Kyoko Mori when she heard a small voice call out her name. Gwen turned around to look at who was following here and there she was, Emily, her half-sister who Gwen didn’t really want anything to do with. It was a shock to see the girl was actually attempting to approach her, especially when Gwen had told her to fuck off only the week before. She thought she was ready to face this, but Gwen supposed that maybe she wasn’t. Gwen scoffed and turned to walk away. “Wait!” Emily cried out. Gwen looked over to Kyoko who shrugged. The two girls turned around to look at the smaller girl. “What do you want?” Gwen sighed putting a hand on her hip and staring down at Emily. There was a long pause before Emily held out a letter to Gwen. She took the letter and looked at it. “It’s from my mom. I sent her a letter her last week and she sent this for you.” Emily revealed quietly, the girl was shaking on the spot as she spoke. Gwen just stared at the letter. She scowled and shoved it into her pocket. “And what did she say to you?” Gwen asked angrily. “Just that she would tell me and my brother everything when we came home… But that you are my sister. And that you will always be part of my family and everything…” Emily said taking a step back. Gwen let out a loud ‘ha’ and then pulled out the letter once more. She began to rip up the letter in her hands before dropping it to the ground. “Tell her to go fuck herself. Kay?” Gwen turned around and quickly walked away from the situation. Kyoko followed. |

I REFUSE TO BE FORGOTTEN

Kyoko had dashed after Gwen after the little event that had taken place. It was weird to see someone react so negatively just to a letter. It was a bit careless to rip up the whole thing but Kyoko then thought that saying that aloud would make her sound like her sister. “That was a bit dramatic.” Kyoko carefully said raising an eyebrow and looking to Gwen as they walked. The girl laughed a second time. “What isn’t dramatic in this shit hole?” Gwen sounded angry as she spoke, but she had reason to be angry from what Kyoko had heard. In that moment she wished that her sister was here to defuse the situation. But she wasn’t, so Kyoko had to deal with this by herself. “You know her and her brother are probably going to keep talking to you now, right?” Kyoko said with a smirk. “I mean, you did just tell them you are their sister. They might want to bond with you. Paint nails and talk about their feelings.” Kyoko let out another snigger only to be met with a slap on the arm from Gwen. It didn’t really hurt; there was no force behind the swift movement. “Maybe your mom might send a letter to you.” Kyoko said, this time with less humour. Gwen stopped in her tracks and then turned to Kyoko. She shook her head. “She would be a fool to do so. My father had threatened to kill her, and you know what our dear parents are like.” Gwen had to be speaking about their community as a whole, Kyoko only knew about the Japanese side of things so she shrugged at the reply. Gwen seemed to roll her eyes before the two continued to walk. “They keep to their word.” |

Beck had decided to skip the review class for muggle studies. There really wasn't much more he needed to retain. It was probably the easiest subject in that he'd ever taken, as it was for most students who were muggleborn or had mixed blood; plus, it wasn't a class he missed often throughout the year. One day towards the end of the year should be alright, he was sure he'd ace the exam anyway. Really, he didn't have much to to do. The skipping class thing was actually a last minute idea, so he hadn't had the chance to tell Billie about it. She could be doing anything at this point, though he had a feeling she was not in potions, it was not one of her favorite classes at all. Too much patience was needed, and she had very little for such things. The thought made him smile. He was pretty sure that Ryan tended to be her partner for that reason. He heard voices up ahead of him, and they snapped him out of his scattered thought process. Up ahead were two girls, Slytherins, laughing about something. Keeping true to the stereotype, Beck was surprised he hadn't come across more Slytherins during this period. Many weren't allowed to take Muggle Studies because most of them were noble purebloods. Or whatever. He recognized them as Gwen Montague and Kyoko Mori. The Gryffindor didn't know the girls well, but that didn't matter. He decided to approach them anyway. Talking to them would give entertain him for a little while, at least, "Hello girls, what's up today?" Of course, as he got closer, the less welcomed he felt. Gwen seemed to look unhappy about something. Seeing as the Gryffindor had no clue why, he decided to smile at her anyway, "Whatcha so sour about, girl?" It was likely none of his business, but it was hard to find Beck in a bad mood, and he had a history of his good nature becoming contagious. Maybe he could do something to brighten her day? It was worth a try, anyway. |

Just as the two girls had begun walking along the corridor once more another person came into view. Gwen was just happy that it wasn’t someone else asking her about her new found relatives. It was beginning to get tiring, especially when most of those people were fifth and fourth years just sticking their noses into her business. It was a Gryffindor boy who had approached them though, someone in her own year. She rose an eyebrow at his greeting, she had to wonder why he was even speaking to them though. Had they spoken before? Gwen couldn’t remember so she looked to Kyoko who just shrugged. “Hey, just finding somewhere to study.” Kyoko replied for the both of them with a smile and a shrug, Gwen just nodded. But then he directed a question at her, Gwen scowled and frowned. “I don’t think that is any of your business.” Gwen wasn’t going to go around yelling out her problems, especially when it was to do with something this random guy would know nothing about. She watched him for a moment before turning away. Kyoko spoke up once more. “I wouldn’t go too much into that if I were you.” |

Finding somewhere to study? Sounded kind of boring, but his mind began to list off the places he knew Ryan would go to for it, anyway. The library and lounge were obvious, and they didn't seem to be going in the direction of either places. Maybe they were crowded during this period? His mind wandered to other options. Were there any secret passages on his floor? Those were usually pretty quiet.. Gwen seemed offended that he'd asked. The man threw his hands up in surrender and smirked, "It's fine, it's fine. I'll drop it, ok?" He asked the girl that was annoyed, "Sorry I asked." He shrugged at the other Slytherin, and stuck his hands in his pocket. "Looking for a place to study, huh?" He said, feeling that a change in subject was a good idea. Really, he should have been finding a broom closet or an empty room somewhere on one of these floors. Billie was going to find him pretty fast is he didn't. One of the passageways would be an alright place to hide, right? As long as he didn't switch to a floor that wasn't the top three, he'd be fine. If there was a secret passageway on this floor, though, it wasn't in this hallway. After years of hanging around Billie Baker, he'd picked up on a few things. Mostly being aware of his surroundings, (she was good at keeping him on his toes,) but also, how to spot a secret passageway. "I think I might know a good spot, quiet and all that." He said with a grin, "Follow me." If he remembered correctly, one of the statues up here was an entrance to one. Or was that the sixth floor? |

I'm Vi

Billie had made a pit stop in her common, figuring that Beck might need the extra time to remember they were playing a game. She took the shortcuts she knew he wouldn't take and circled around the long way. Only a few people were in the hallways but none had seen Beck on the top two floors. The room of requirement was also a bust, surprisingly. There was even a small amount of excitement that maybe he hadn't forgotten. She emerged behind a trio, quietly stepping out from behind the statue they were searching for. A slight sigh escaped the Gryffindor upon recognizing Beck. That took the fun out of finding him. Her lips were quick to twist into a smirk however. "Gotcha hotshot," Vi linked her arm through the older boy's, whispering the words so the other two couldn't hear. "Hope it wasn't something important." Because she wasn't all that keen on thinking about why he'd been distracted with two other girls. Thoughts like that would wind up in someone getting injured. It was evident they weren't sticking around, Vi tugged briefly on Beck's arm but released it before continuing down the hallway. She'd find something else to do if he was busy. |
