So once we do the two-year jump, I had an idea for a scenario in which we get a bunch of people together for a rescue mission. Cloak and dagger shit. Can't just bust in firing spells. Gotta use subterfuge (probably going to come up with a reason why they can't use Polyjuice, because that's overdone).

Since our characters will be adults with training and resources, but still young and stupid enough to want to play hero, it opens up the possibility of them trying to do something worthwhile. But they'll be facing challenges designed in a way that they won't be able to approach them in the ways they might have before (i.e.: curses and elementium).

The main feature here will be that I don't plan on doing too much dictating. I'll give out the basic scenario, describe what everyone is up against, but it'll be up the participants to decide how to approach them.

The coming events will bring a brave new world, and the "mission structure" (so to speak) will reflect that. If this works out, it'll be the first of many new concepts to play with now that these kids will be free from the confines of the castle. Hopefully others will be inspired to come up with new ideas of their own since we're widening the sandbox.

I'd go into more details, but it would spoil slightly the resolution of the End of Term Feast thread, so I don't wanna do that. Just gauging interest in a sort of espionage-related RP.

The idea here is to do a kind of loosely GMed RP, where one person sets up the situation and then lets the players approach that situation any way they want to.

The intent is for these to be somewhat quick and to the point (to account for the fact that we're all a lot busier these days), and to provide an open-ended situation with a precise goal in mind (with the possibility for failing that goal should the characters really fuck up). Characters bring their own baggage, of course, so there's plenty of variables to make things interesting.
