Thanks! My mines are overrun with Night Goblins and colossal squigs at the moment, so I need all the help I can get!

Well, update time. Finished off my miners unit. Glad to get them complete, and can't wait to use them in a game. I also had an opportunity to complete all my movement trays and took an updated army pic, as the earlier one is a little dated. Hard to believe this is 7 months worth of painting! Not bad going for me!

Anyways, pics inbound.

A very nice characterful army - love how the colours tie everything together.

Do you plan to add anything else in the future?

I have a lot of lead sitting in a box above my bookshelf. This is shamefully maybe a fifth of the Dwarfs that I have. Eventually I may do them all, though I'll just see what needs to be painted next for my Underground games. Though at a guess its probably going to be Great Weapon warriors. although I would love to do Slayers, I do need more core.

An army is never finished...

You'll always find Slayers in mines hunting some big beasties so they find a glorious death to clear the dishonour on their name.

Very true. That might be the excuse I need to do some dishonoured Dwarfs! So far my force is very themed.

Think of it as a reward for getting the force done - you add a unit of Slayers as a "well done" present to yourself :D

Well a slight break from painting Dwarfs for fantasy, has led me to attempt to get my Orcs off the ground. I always start with the general, as that tends to keep me inspired (if done well enough) to continue with a project. Plus its just a little bit of fun.

Using the top of Gorbad Ironclaw, and some Finecast Black Orc Big Boss legs (the rest used later), and I had my start (took me a long time to get the right legs!)

The finished beast, on the obligitory heroic rock.

And here is where he is at now. There is along story behind the paint scheme which I won't go into too much, but needless to say I'm finally at a stage where I'm happy with it. Let me know what you think.

I think he looks absolutely terrific. Sure, he hasn't got the best paint job around, but it's very decent and it's the miniature itself which really stands out here. That Warboss just oozes character and menace. I love it! :D
