Gameplay Updates

Ship Weapon Updates

Particle Blasters
Maximum range increased from 400 to 600
Railguns
Damage coefficient increased from 1.0 to 1.1 (10% increase)
(Legendary Only) Splash damage increased by 100%
Strike Cannons
Projectile now has very limited homing capability
Maximum range decreased from 1000 to 850
Graviton Beams
Maximum range increased from 600 to 650
Damage coefficient increased from 1.1 to 1.2 (9% increase)
Pulse Lasers
Maximum range decreased from 800 to 725
Minimum range increased from 200 to 250
Damage coefficient increased from 0.75 to 1.10 (40% increase)
Plasma Missiles
Damage coefficient increased from 1.25 to 1.35 (8% increase)
(Rare Only) Splash damage increased by 100%
Antimatter Torpedos
Splash damage coefficient increased from 1.0 to 4.0 (300% increase)
Graviton Bombs
Maximum range increased from 600 to 650
Projectile velocity increased from 72 to 84

Ship Defense Updates

Active Defenses
Attack intercept ratings have been decreased significantly
Drone intercept ratings have been increased significantly
Shields
Shield damage reduction (while active) increased significantly


Base Weapon Updates

Bombardment Cannons
Projectile velocity increased from 480 to 768
(Uncommon Only) Splash damage increased by 100%
(Legendary Only) Splash damage increased by 100%
Sentinel Mounts
Burst count increased from 5 to 10
Volley size increased from 1 to 2
Point Defense Clusters
Minimum range increased from 400 to 700
Missile Pods
(Uncommon Only) Splash damage increased by 100%


NPC Balance Updates

NPC fleets rated 8 through 36 have been rebalanced to balance the updates above
Players should generally suffer less repair time when taking on these fleets
Added new NPC fleets rated 38 and 40, to facilitate Epic blueprint acquisition


NOTE: We will continue to adjust balance for NPC Fleets. Additional tweaks may be forthcoming.

Blueprint Updates

Added three new tiers of Advanced Tech blueprints below the existing tiers
Advanced Tech blueprints each require only two parts be collected
Advanced Tech versions are available for all existing module types
Each Advanced Tech module has a single special stat bonus
Advanced Tech I
Comparable base stats to standard level two technology
Requires the corresponding level one tech to equip
Drops from enemies with ratings of 0 - 9
Can be completed instantly at the cost of 5 palladium
Advanced Tech II
Comparable base stats to standard level four technology
Requires the corresponding level three tech to equip
Drops from enemies with ratings of 10 - 19
Can be completed instantly at the cost of 10 palladium
Advanced Tech III
Base stats between level five tech and Uncommon blueprints
Requires the corresponding level five tech to equip
Drops from enemies with ratings 20 and above
Can be completed instantly at the cost of 25 palladium
Uncommon blueprints will now be dropped only from enemies rated 20 and up
Rare blueprints will now be dropped only from enemies rated 30 and up
Epic blueprints will now be dropped only from enemies rated 40 and up
Legendary blueprints will now be dropped only from enemies rated 50 and up

Achievement System

A basic achievement system has been added to the game
A variety of achievements are available, corresponding to various activities
More achievements will be added to support future content and events
Players receive Palladium and credits for completing achievements


Base Relocation

Players can now relocate their bases for a nominal fee in palladium
To move, use the Relocate Base button in an ally’s player profile
Players can relocate to any sector owned by their same faction, provided that sector has an open spot
A base cannot be relocated while it is actively in combat
Known Issue: Players should reload to update their base after moving


Miscellaneous Updates

Tech and defense module stats now scale more smoothly with tech level
The base now wins if damage is dealt but the attacker meets no victory conditions
All ships now start off selected at the commencement of battle
Added additional dialog for corporate representatives and trade routes


Interface Updates

Updated the layout of the deep scan pending blueprint reroll list to the new style
Updated the details window to match the new and improved UI style
Updated the component selection window to match the new UI style
Decreased the delay before tooltips pop up on the end of battle screen
The deep scan list icon will now indicate if there are scans pending
Resources in the end of battle screen will now be shown in the standard order
When a ship’s target dies and it picks a new one, the target marker will now appear
Added new buff icons for Treasure Finding and Privateers Commission
Added helpful tooltips to numerous areas throughout the user interfaces
Players can no longer click on buttons in the HUD while moving buildings
Research and build windows now remember the last section you were looking at
Fleet repair toasts will now appear in sector as well as in base view
Fleet docking toasts will now appear in sector as well as in base view
In-progress base blueprints will now be sorted higher up in the lab view
Chat tabs will now blink when a message is received on an inactive tab


Bug Fixes

Fixed pending rerolls not being removed from the list if the blueprint is completed
Fixed a bug where players were sometimes unable to join alliances
Fixed a crash that could occur when a new player joined or spectated a battle
Fixed keyboard commands not being blocked when a modal dialog is on screen
Fixed assorted mission issues, especially with new player orientation missions
Fixed battles getting stuck on the leaderboards under certain server conditions
Fixed an uncommon case where buildings could occasionally evade attacks
Fixed new player’s bases appearing destroyed until the first time they were attacked
Fixed sector move speed modifiers not actually working at all
Fixed a client lock up that could occur in some cases when moving buildings
Fixed a crash that could occur when clicking coordinates in a nonexistent sector
Fixed a client crash that could occur when leaving battles and sectors
Fixed the black border that appeared if the window was resized during initial loading
Fixed base attackers always starting from the left if they didn't move before attacking
Fixed context menu buttons for other sectors not appearing in faction colors
Fixed a crash which could occur when a player switched between sectors too quickly
Fixed a bug where non-homing projectiles lost effective range with increased lifetime
Fixed an issue where other versions of the current module were hidden in module select
Fixed a crash which could occur when clicking a defense building with no reactor built
Fixed several issues where area attacks could deal significantly inflated damage
Fixed an issue that was causing point defense clusters to double fire (really this time)
Fixed graviton bombs’ splash damage having penetration instead of resolution
Fixed several client crashes that could occur when viewing battles
Fixed a bug which cause all weapons to take longer than intended to reload
Fixed a crash in base battles related to drones spawning outside of view
