Good morning, peeps! The sun is out today, thank goodness. :*:

Penny, you and Siobhan will be so happy when you can finally get out for some nice walks.

Carole, those poor eagles look wet! I'm so glad that E4 is finally getting a fair chance.

I've started to think about my garden a bit - cheers me up.

Penny, after reading the article I think that the airport needs an entirely new staff department, whoever makes the budget decisions. The article has so many points that make perfect sense!! :hair: The EOA must feel as if they are banging their heads against a brick wall. :( And to think that the most recently removed nest was a mile away from the airport and would have been a reasonably safe location. :hair:

:candle: :^^^: RIP to the poor eagle. It must have been so frightened with the plane and landing gear approaching it and not being able to get out of the way.

Cheryl the comments by knowledgeable people at the end of this story make so much more sense than the attiutude of the Norfolk Airport, The Norfolk City Council and the USFWS put together :hair:

As a former commercial jet pilot familiar with the Norfolk Airport wrote " As a start, put one employee in a vehicle and station him at the landing threshold as a spotter to scare birds away. It's simple, cost effective, and it will work."

G'day Peeps, another gorgeous day outside.

Very very sad about Norfolk BE. What I dont understand is why the local community hasnt risen up and made them change the system, dont they care? Grassroots stuff.

Love the pandas this morning too.

Penny, thanks for the second link. There are some excellent ideas and suggestions on there. Now if they could just get the powers that be to listen! It seems like they are being stubborn. Maybe this time the death of the eagle will be a catalyst for change. Folks are so angry and I don't blame them at all.

That is a gorgeous horse sculpture at the Bellagio, Kath.

Simple silk kimono, with basic obi (sash) and accessories typically start at $20,000. An intricate obi (of silk brocade or crepe) costs more than the kimono.

Famous designers and rare kimonos are valued at several hundred thousand dollars. Family heirlooms!

Worn still today for traditional weddings, funerals, tea ceremony, etc. If I request, my Kyoto daughter will wear a yukata kimono to dinner.

Some owners will take apart valuable kimono for cleaning and storage. Then, re-sew panels, by hand stitch, for the next wearing.

Very interesting, detailed, 10.5 minutes video.
