The hibiscus flower is lovely, Carole. Are you doing any golfing? I remember when you saw the real eagle on the golf course, not the golf kind. Your pond critters, pandas and eagle chick photos are always a treat to see each day.Penny, we are Olympic junkies, too. Canada is doing so well so far. Finally in the past few Olympics our national companies and the government have given them financial support so that the athletes can focus on building their skills. Years ago I used to get so very upset because we never seemed to win anything. I had tears pouring down my face watching Chloe and Justine on the podium. Then the boys matched up with a silver and gold in their moguls. Speed skater Charles kissing his girlfriend who was jumping around like Tigger was so charming, and watching the triple win for the Dutch skaters was also terrific. There have been many great moments so far. We can't seem to be able to stay up past midnight to watch so we have to catch up in the morning. Then the TV is on all day for the re-runs and live events. I go into Olympic withdrawal when it is all over. There is an amazing cross-country skiing event going on now with people falling, getting up, passing others, and announcers who are going nuts. Carol, that is very special that you were able to go out for lunch with a childhood friend.

Oh, how exciting to be able to go and view the eagles in Ft. Myers, Carole. My hips are feeling a bit better today. I am on the sofa right now but I think I'll be able to do more today. I ordered a new duvet cover from Pottery Barn which needs to be ironed. I haven't been able to stand up long enough to iron it but I am going to give it a try today. It's just bugging me because I want to get it all set up, along with the new shams. I think I caused this by climbing up and down on a chair repeatedly to clean the inside and outside of the kitchen cupboards. It serves me right for c#%&*#ng I guess. |

Cheryl - Whenever I buy new bedding I can't wait to put it on the bed, impatient NOT All the cl&*^ing you did would surely cause your hips to ache, but now it's all done and you can relax. Haven't golfed as much as I would like to but as soon as Bev returns to NY, I'll try to get in at least 2 games a week. It's funny, I hadn't played golf for almost 2 years and I figured my game would be awful, but I've never played better Haven't seen the golf course eagle yet but Alan did and he can't believe how big their wingspread is. I just love all the wildlife on the course and it's a guaranteed treat to see so many birds.
