Cheryl & Penny - If you like fictional historical sagas try these....Penmarric or Cashelmara by Susan Howatch. I read them about 25 years ago and loved them. Google them for a preview or use Kobo or Kindel for their preview. They are oldies but goodies

G'day Peeps, my rainy Friday. The rain stopped but more is coming. Busy with Yum Cha with 3 GFs and sailing in the afternoon unless the rain continues and cancels (but real sailors dont mind the rain! )I'm glad you girls love the Ginger Cat series. There are a bunch of them, I'm keeping the artist secret for now. Ginger Cat Rides the Wave .... ![]() I'm quoting the original artist: Ivan Aivazovsky,The Ninth Wave I'll let interested peeps look it up for the story behind the picture. My goodness you girls in Canada have a lot to deal with weather wise. Please stay safe and warm. Getting a winter blast in the face sounds dangerous! Thanks for posting the Polar Bear info Penny! Carole, what else are your plans for FL? I have a friend in Crystal (beach or sands) who just loves FL. She is an advocate for the manatees. How exciting to be going to Maui. Just in time to thaw out too. that is the only Hawaiian large island I have not been to. Not Lanai or the smaller ones either. Also thanks for the book reviews. I am looking for a captivating book. Currently reading an old (pre 1900) J. Trollope, humorously political of the day but dry reading. Carol, hope you got your dancing in today.
