Cruzers![]() Depending on where you are, it's either a seasonal celebration or a day to celebrate workers' rights, or maybe a little bit of both because it also marks International Worker's Day. |

Happy May Day, or Beltane as it's known to many in the UK. This Crop Circle appeared on this day in 1998, and is known as the "Beltane Wheel". It appeared on the night of Beltane in a Canola field near the English Heritage site of Avebury and it's massive stone circle (about twenty minutes from us). Too bad someone walked through the crop and made unsightly walk lines in it. A violation of Crop Circle Etiquette. I think it was about 150 feet in diameter. (The straight lines are "tram lines" from the farmer's tractor when planting the field)![]() Beltane Fires are ritually burned on this night to celebrate the return of Spring and the resurgence of Earth's life forces. I snagged this "Fires of Beltane" pic some time ago.![]() Sorry I've fallen behind in the past few days, but want to add: Carol, I'm so happy you got your computer problems sorted out. And congrats on the newly expected Blessed Event. Deb, congrats to you too on the new addition to your family. Carole, Cheryl, Penny, Jill, Ozzie and everyone, have a wonderful May Day Sunday. |

G'day Peeps, I'm very late (or early in the day for you girls), end of my very busy Monday. I had the worse pain ever from the groin shooting all the way up to my neck. Off to the Doctor who says it might be a couple of things, but first thing to get was an ultrasound so to do that tomorrow. She mentioned appendix but I hope not. Jiller's that cat cured me of my hankering for pizza. Well, Bob cant get out of our flight and hotel bookings to Istanbul. We just had 2 sets of friends go to Istanbul, they said it was fine. We will have a private guide, not in a big tour group, so probably a lot safer. So we are going for 3 days, then over to Athens. We are trying to get the tour company to pay for the jump from Istanbul to Athens, after all, its their fault! I've been snagging these great sunsets from our Bureau of Meteorology! Western Australia storm clouds
