I just lost my whole post so here goes again. We got back from Montreal last night and I haven't stopped since, with unpacking, laundry, house cleaning and other chores. My sister's 70th birthday was fabulous. Here is the menu.... Bruschetta Salad with buffalo mozzarella and shaved parmesan Calamari Gnocchi Choice of filet mignon or salmon, both accompanied with mashed potatoes and veggies Dessert - Tiramisu Choice of all kinds of coffee and tea The food was outstanding My sister looked so beautiful and I loved her outfit so much that she took me shopping the following morning and I bought it along with 4 other t-shirts. I've never in 42 years enjoyed shopping in Toronto. I hate department stores and the boutiques downtown are so expensive I don't go there. The whole weekend was fabulous and on Monday night we had dinner with our 4 best friends and went out for Chinese food which was delicious. We also did all our Montreal food shopping before we left and now my freezer is full of goodies

Welcome back to Ontario, Carole. Your visit to Montreal sounds wonderful - delicious food, time with loved ones, and a shopping excursion with your sister. That was a clever idea to get the same outfit as her - you can wear it in Toronto and nobody will see the two of you wearing the same thing - why not!! I've always admired the clothes on news anchors and TV personalities who are from Montreal. Their outfits always look so fashionable. Yum, yum about the birthday menu. I hope it was OK for me to post a couple of updates about E8 since you were away. I will stop now and leave them to you. My sister is anxious and keeps sending me the latest news from CROW. Probably you haven't seen Sunday night's Outlander episode. I just re-watched it this afternoon. and

Cheryl - I should have thanked you earlier about your updates on E8, thanks for doing that. I did manage to watch Outlander today and loved every minute of it. Now I am really excited about the next episode. As of May 27th, Alan switched from Rogers to Bell and I don't like change but taping shows and watching them will be much easier as I can do it from 3 TV's instead of the one I have in the family room. The only question I will have is, how can I save all the Outlander episodes I have saved on Rogers. I am not a gardener like you and Ozzie . I forgot what I planted last year but all of a sudden I have a bleeding heart, another with little purple flowers, and a mystery one that is just coming up. The hydrangeas are all with greenery and can't wait for the blossoms. I want to get a small lilac shrub to fill in an empty space but Alan says I have to be careful as there are underground cables in that area so will have to be careful. As far as shopping in Montreal goes, it is just so much easier and the fashions are really "with-it" , affordable, and the sales help is awesome. |

Latest update on E85/18 CROW Update: Today E8 received radiographs (x-rays) as a follow up to Saturday’s surgery. The radiographs showed good pin placement that was placed in the right leg to repair the femur fracture. E8 is still in critical condition and will continue to receive pain medication, supportive care and remain on strict cage rest. |

G'day Peeps, my sunny Thursday. I missed popping in yesterday I think, I was incredibly busy with work the last couple of days. Oh to be retired.... So I did take some time out today. I just got back from the morning out . I dropped off a small gift and card for my EX - Rex's 54th Birthday (in a couple of days) and we did a FaceTime call with Rachel (he doesnt have that app available on his phone). She kept yawning, it was only 7.30pm there. Her parents are boring. I then stopped at the garden nursery afterwards. I was looking for 'air plants' (plants that grow without soil). I didnt see any so asked one of the staff. Apparently there is now an import ban on them because they have some sort of bacteria on it that could potentially hard Australian crops. bummer! I did find a Pony tail plant and two succulents in the discount section, total cost was $7. Home again home again jiggy jig. Carole, your trip to Montreal sounds like it was so relaxing despite what sounds like a busy time! Funny you say that about Toronto shopping. My mother bought a gorgeous 'French Blue' lined silk dress that she eventually gave to me. Always had compliments wearing it. I like surprises in the garden as long as they arent weeds! Thanks for all the WC and E8 updates Cheryl. for E8 to make it through.Carol, Great News that your BEs are back! If I lived closer I'd help you with your computer... Kris, I am so sorry you two have to, yet again, move. Maybe a better place will turn up, especially with the spring arrival. Everyone have a nice evening! (this is sunrise in Sydney, not my photo)
