Sorry I have been MIA the past few days. Alan developed some computer problems and needed my help to sort it out while he was on the phone with our new ISP.
I think we have finally solved 95% of the problems. I got the surprise of my life yesterday; after Rogers (our old ISP) cut me off, it came back with the mail box, home page and my address book. Maybe they felt guilty rofl

The robin's nest unfortunately blew out of the tree with the high winds we were experiencing yesterday. I'm not sad about it as the robins haven't been around since they built it and I'm thankful that there were no eggs or chicks. I hope they have rebuilt in a more sheltered area :X:

Cheryl - Welcome back :}^ Looking forward to some photos from the wedding :clk:

Ozzie - Sorry to hear about your water damage. :( The photo of you in the cemetery is a real keeper, just beautiful.

Kris - Hope everything moves along smoothly with your new place, you must be mentally and physically exhausted with all the packing and unpacking you have been through since you are there.

Carol - I have watched several episodes of Tiny House and I just can't imagine living in such small quarters as beautiful as they are. The nice thing is you can just trailer them around and move to wherever you want to.

Jill - :}^

Carole, wow what a surprise to get all your connections back. We did have a few glitches along the way as well. We had a robin's nest here, too, but I think the blue jays invaded it. :(

Kris, have you been able to see the magpies?

Carol, I have also watched some of the Tiny House episodes. It would have been fun when we were younger I guess but now I would feel confined. There wouldn't be much cleaning to do, though. That would be a plus. Have you watched House Hunters International? I like that one and Flip or Flop the most. Fixer Upper is also a favourite because I like her taste in decorating.

well yet even more time has gone by :(

let me see - went to VA to see brother over holiday weekend but had to arrange for 35 of my scout/families to get to NYC for a tour of ships for Fleet Week
Gary had a nasty cold which I tried to avoid but got it anyway so we were on 10 days of antibiotics :( he got well I didn't :(
so back to Dr yesterday for a super dose of antis and a new nasal spray which has things much better today so hoping this does the trick!
(next time he gets this, he's sleeping in the garage) lol

working hard on one eagle project which will happen this coming saturday - he's putting together 100 book bags for school children in the community and will include in them paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, glue sticks and lots of stuff!

we've made time to go to a few Mets games yay! and they've been winning bigger yay!
THEN gary has had this wart on the bottom of his foot which has been very painful and refusing to die from the treatments of the DR so last Fri he had it cut out :( and was home with foot propped up which meant I actually had to cook - 5 yes 5 whole meals ;) he's doing fine - has to go back in couple of weeks to have more taken out and cleaned up but it's healing nicely and not too painful!

one more scout meeting and we're closed for the summer EXCEPT for summer camp which is now only about 6 weeks away - eek! where did the time go
BUT we're sneaking away in another week to see LRB in CT and then off to 1,000 islands for a couple of days!

and then there's work LOL

hope everyone is well
whew I'm tired from just typing this rofl

Carole, you're right I am totally emotionally and physically exhausted from all the moving, along with Ed's health problems and failure to still not have his visa application in. Now he can't begin the months long filing process until we have a stable address. I can't even plan a trip to see Lori later in the year because of the forced move. My passport expires in January and I can't renew it until we have a new address, by then the low fare windows for later in the year, when I hoped to go, will be sold out and the moving expenses will have set us back enough that I'll have to wait until next year. :'( Many airlines require a passport that doesn't expire within 6 months of travel, eliminating the option entirely for this year with the timing of the move I have to wait now until it will be too late to renew it for a trip this year. :hair: If Ed doesn't get his visa by next year, if not sooner, I might just implode. :'(

Cheryl, I researched Pheasants and found that the males are "donors" only. It's the females that raise the chicks. As for the Magpies, since the trees filled in the nest area is not visible so we only see them on the lawn or flying through the trees and it's impossible to tell which are the young ones or the parents.

Ozzie, adorable baby Raven. I fear it may be a rescue though to be photographed like that. Such a young one should be with parents. Coincidentally we had a pair of Ravens on our front lawn today grazing for Bird seed and bugs. Ed scatters seed daily, and we have seed feeders but the Crows have learned to pull the feeding ports out allowing the seed to run out. They've broken three feeders so far. :hair:

A couple of weeks ago the big flowering Cherry tree in back rained down petals that covered the ground and fell like pink snow. A mess that's hard not to track in to the house though. (The lower pic shows the rear gate behind our house to the landlord's tennis court, not privy to us though)

beautiful Kris - we have a tree that does similar - not only do we track it everywhere but hard to get off the lawn - it clumps and means to stay put ;)
the mower sucks a bunch of it up but we have to rake the rest (well ES does) :<::
