Ozzie – what a beautiful garden (and helper)
Carole – hope the car gets sorted out quickly! Eegads
Cheryl – glad to hear Wynn did well – fingers and toes crossed!

Jill - luv the kitty climber 
Ozzie – could you imagine wearing dresses like that – oh my!

Hi all – rainy Tuesday here – well more like drizzling Tuesday ;)
It’s cool but not bad – luv the break from the sun – makes things grow!
Our crocus didn’t like the cold snap and have all fallen over 

Crazy scout meeting last night – 5 new boys arrived – 24 of the regulars were there – 3 scouts came to visit so it was a full house – but it went well and ended as usual with a game!
One of my guys asked if I’d be his sponsor as he begins his eagle scout journey! 
AND one of our former scouts stopped in and then went to dinner with gary and I after the meeting AND paid for our dinner! He has graduated from college – took a year off and is now in law school. AND this summer he will be interning with an attorney that we used to share office space with – lucky him! He’s so excited and it was so nice to see him and get caught up! Luv my “sons” <3

Busy day at work – the dogs are here as one boss is in court. They just lay around until the mail lady comes who brings them treats ;)

Hope everyone well
Back to work ….

Had a doctor's appointment this morning, gastroenterologist, checking my tummy as I have had some discomfort. Trying out a new medication.

Raining and damp here, good day to stay home.

Deb - How nice of your former scout to take you and Gary out for dinner. What a coincidence that he will be starting his law career with a lawyer you know, all the best to him. That was one big scout meeting you had and I am sure they all love you too <3

Cheryl - Good news about Wynn not feeling the after-effects of his last chemo treatment, may it continue that way :X:

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

"Monday, Monday..." (need musical notes here) :P )

Thanks and much appreciation to Cheryl, Carole, and Carol for the encouraging words about my worries in making a plan to visit Lori. (((GH))) It helped me feel more confident about making the trip. I'll probably book it tomorrow. I'll let you know. :ok:

Carol special appreciation for your inspiring words. :Hugs: I do have faith in a Universal Consciousness that we all are a part of, whatever name is given, that we can all connect with mentally and spiritually. <3 I don't think it is one that gives special protections to "Believers" but follows natural law guided by the combined consciousness of all its beings, both good and bad, and the state of Mother Earth's health.

Ozzie, lovely garden pics. :)^ Welcome back from Canberra. :) The gallery collection was wonderful. :)^

Cheryl, so good to hear Wynn is doing so well. :><: :X: that he continues to feel well and overcome his illness.

I hope you can find the book I mentioned since it's a UK publication and I have no idea how widely it was distributed. It won Brit awards. I just thought you might appreciate and enjoy it. Wikipedia has a link for a synopsis. (Spoiler Alert!) I have always been a ravenous reader of all types of literature but in recent years not so much, due to circumstance. :( ( But I have written and had published writings in recent years.) This book is a one day page turner but inspiring and affecting in it's insight and creativity. I was inspired to research the book, whose title I'd heard peripherally and I was reminded of, after Ed and I had an enigmatic "curious incident" while on a walk in the woods a couple of weeks ago involving the discovery a newly deceased Sheep in a most unlikely place. :8O: I took some artful photos and have a theory on what happened to the poor victim. Meanwhile, I bought and read the book.

Deb, Jill, Linda. :}^

Kris, our library has a free downloadable copy of the book. It is being used right now but in a couple of weeks I should be able to get it. Thank you for the recommendation. Bravo in making your decision to go and see Lori. It will be wonderful to see and hug her. I'm sure there will be tears of joy from both of you.

Carole, here's hoping the new medication will solve the tummy problems for you. Maybe your body just needs a change.

Deb, that is a very pretty cat! It must have been so rewarding to see the young man that you mentored and to see what a success he has become. It was very thoughtful of him to take you two out for dinner to show his appreciation and have a visit.

G'day Peeps my dark cool rainy Wednesday. Bob mustve been up earlier because Leo is not in the house and for the first time, Snowy was asleep when I got up. Because he is deaf, he didnt hear me coming and was quite shocked when I woke him up. Time for warm milk!

Kris, I do hope you book your flight to LA to see Lori. I know you miss her, need to see her. :X: all goes well.

How is Wynn today, Cheryl?

Beautiful cat Debi.
I love how your Scouts come back to see you. <3

Hope the Tummy Doc can sort out your problem Carole.

LoL at the bitey dog Jillers!

Rachel has moved to Brooklyn! The 'hood is under construction on Google Map, now across the street is a luxury apt block. Her place looks awful from the frontage, but she says is nice inside. And cheap.

After my haircut yesterday, I went to the dollar shop and bought 2 new toys for Snowy.

- had to stop writing because it was time for supper ....

Kath, Snowy is getting lots of enrichment activities from you. It looks like he is enjoying his new fish toy. Your photo of Bob with his son is excellent. The T-shirt design was funny once I read what was on the logo. Thanks for the pictures of the beautiful French art from Versailles. I saw them on FB and enjoyed them again here. Best wishes to Rachel as she settles in a new place to live. Your garden looks so lush.

Wynn has had a good day today. There are pills we have to give him but he is taking them willingly wrapped up in a piece of muffin. He used to accept peanut butter with a pill inside but not any more. Robert told me that there are so many cats and dogs at the vet centre at the university. He said that one person even came from Nova Scotia (province on our east coast, probably close to a 24 hour drive) for treatment for their dog. I'm not sure how that would all work out with chemo infusions needing to be done weekly.

Carol, how did your AARP driving course go? :X:

Jill, thanks for the funnies! Is Katie doing OK?

Coffee-You can overdose on caffeine.
http://www.livescience.com/35430-seven-good-foods-you-can-overdose-on-110201.html

Although some people claim they would cease to function properly without their cup of morning coffee, it's best not to have too many cups. According to the Mayo Clinic, you shouldn't consume more than 500 to 600 milligrams of caffeine a day. A typical, 8-ounce cup of medium roast coffee has about 200 mg of caffeine, a 1-ounce shot of espresso has about 75 mg, an 8 ounce cup of black tea can have 120 mg of caffeine.

Noticeable side effects can occur if you consume more than 600 to 900 mg of caffeine a day, according to the Mayo Clinic, and those include: insomnia, restlessness, nausea, irregular heartbeat, muscle tremors, anxiety and headaches. In fact, too much caffeine can be fatal. According to a case published by Swedish physicians in a 2010 issue of Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, a 21-year-old woman went into cardiac arrest shortly after consuming about 10,000 mg of caffeine. Although she was resuscitated by ventricular fibrillations a few times, she stopped responding to medication three days later.
