Posted Image Good morning everyone :}^

It's a miserable rainy day here and by tonight there might be some light snow. I'm happy to say I was out early this morning before the rain
started and got home just in time for the downpour.

As a kid I always liked Cracker Jack...that snack of caramel coated popcorn and peanuts with a plastic charm in the box...well, I was racing through the Dollar Store today when I spied three boxes of Cracker Jack on the top shelf. DH and I shared a box this afternoon as we watched the Dodger Padre game. Getting down to the bottom of the box we began to remember the little plastic charms, but, alas, no charm was to be found. If not a charm, we'd find a paper with a colored design on it...we'd put saliva on our arm and place the paper on the moist spot, press down and when you removed the paper, voila, a tattoo!!! Inside the box was a paper sticker which one places against their iPhone and after that I was at a loss as to what I would be expecting. So much simpler with just a little charm...how times have changed!!!

G'day Peeps, a gorgeous autumn day outside. I have a brief meeting with a client this morning, just to pick up some documents. I'm going to walk to the meeting place, about 40 minutes and get the bus back inbetween some shopping.
I am after some wonderful sour dough rolls that I only buy occasionally as I am trying to cut down on the amount of bread I eat.

I spoke to my mother yesterday. She is not doing well and Karen is trying to find her alternative accommodation where she has a lot more help. She cant even push herself up anymore. I think is more a mind thing, but you cannot zap one's mind to work a different way.

I too love(d) Cracker Jacks! :Yum:

Everyone have a great day. Carole, dont over do the cooking, although everything sounds wonderful!

Good evening, peeps.

Carole, thanks so much for the eagle updates. The Stewards' dads must be calling off more nest intruders. I guess the mom isn't coming home. :(

Chiquita, I used to love Cracker Jacks, too. Did you yell out, "Score!" when you saw those boxes on the shelf? :P My favourite treat were the Treasure bars where each chocolate section had a different flavour inside.

Kath, I am so sorry about your Mom's health issues. You are right, you can't make her change her thought process. I hope for her sake as well as yours and Karen's that a really nice place can be found for her. :Hugs:

Kris, keep working on your plans and preparations to go to visit Lori and Jeff. You need to go for your own well-being. It's been a couple of years, hasn't it, since you've seen them?

Deb, that is good news that baby Mila is doing well, may that continue. <3 It could end up being May for that giraffe baby the way things are going. :D

Jill, the elephant graphic yesterday morning really started the thread off with a laugh. That was great.

I wonder how Carol is doing.

We're getting a mix of rain and mushy snow today. It's been quite dreary.
