Mindful of "Maundy Thursday", the day of the Last Supper, and Jesus' arrest that night in Gethsemane. ![]() Cheryl, Carole, and Ozzie thank you for your comments on the pic of Mom and me. I rediscovered it last year and was amazed to realize where it had been taken. I've been unable to access the box of family albums that have the best of the old photos. We have one bedroom devoted to all the boxes we shipped from SoCal that have mostly remained unopened through all our moves since coming here. Lori asked me to send her one of Mom that she remembers that's in one of them. When Ed is up to box moving I'll have to search it out. Carole, lovely photos of your family. Aaron is so big already! Seems like he was just born a couple of months ago. Hope you've had some R&R after your tremendous work preparing for what I'm sure was a fabulous dinner. Ozzie, I hope your Mom is feeling better, and that Bob has a clean bill of health. What a coincidence she lived on Montana Ave and you recognized the location in my pic. I lived on Idaho and 4th Street for over 30 years. The place my spirit will return to eventually. How special to see Patti Smith perform live! I'm jealous. I love her and have read "Just Kids", "Wool Gathering", and am working on "M Train". So talented! She's such a legend! I've watched many of her music videos on YouTube. Lori had her albums when she still lived at home in the 80s and I became a "fan" then. Cheryl, so good to hear that Wynn is doing so well. I keep him in my thoughts and prayers. I've had more phone calls and emails to deal with regarding my Mother's last legal details. The Public Guardian had said a Notarized form from me would be necessary to carry out her prepaid and prearranged cremation, an almost impossible thing to accomplish from here, but are trying to get the court to accept the authorization of the Public Guardian's office. Still waiting for an answer on that. The PG should have Power of Attorney for it, but it's not clear if they will be able to. I hope she doesn't have to stay "on ice" until next month when I'm there. Jill, Deb, and All, I hope your week is going well.

Good afternoon, peeps. The weather is reasonably warm here so I've gone along on two walks with the dogs. I also finally had a chance to go and get my nails done. She did a pretty flower design on two nails. I'll have to get Robert to take a picture. Carole, my apologies for the mix-up with Brad and Jason. That's a sweet photo of Jossy with her Dad. What colour did you get for your nails? Kris, here's hoping the PG will be able to proceed with the arrangements for your Mom without the complicated paperwork. Deb posted some excellent pictures on FB of the troop in Niagara Falls. That is a lot to organize with vehicles and drivers, documents, hotel rooms, food, and visiting the various places. Deb, you are so organized!!! Not much else going on today. Robert is making spaghetti for supper. I helped get all the papers organized so Robert can work on our income tax. We're having our Easter dinner on Monday which sounds weird but that was the best day for the three 'kids'. Have a good evening, everyone. I'm looking forward to watching "Grey's Anatomy". ![]() |

Cheryl - I always get a neutral beige colour for my nails, it doesn't show chips in the polish. I also got a "shellac" procedure which lasts well for about 2 weeks. I only get bold colours when I have a pedicure

Even the cat was swimming!!!! That was so well done. What a riot. Thanks, Jill! I wonder how they got them all to come back when it was time to go home.

G'day peeps, my Easter Friday. Sunny and cool. I've been up for a while, took Snowy out for a walk, then they both get a treat of lactose free milk. I dont spoil them.... Bob is still asleep, recovering from PM colonscopy. I made one of his fav dinners, Mac&Cheese. Not mine, I had watermelon instead! I've been trying to cut down on heavy dinners to lose weight. It usually works. Carole, good for you for getting a relaxing manicure after all your hard work! The extra photo of Jossy & Dad is precious! The look on her face! So happy for Bald Canyon #2 chick! Cheryl, spaghetti for dinner? Robert cooks?! Taxes.... Ugh. Enjoy your Monday. We dont celebrate Easter (agnositic) but we are having a Bob's Family lunch on Sunday, always fun. Kris! My aunt still lives in rent controlled SMonica, I think 11th and SM Blvd. She has been there for some 20-30 years too. She is in her 80s now and has a lot of family info that she is reluctant to share. I think she has the key to who the Swedish relatives are. Getting info out of her is like pulling teeth. I think its because she said she is writing a family history book and protective of the information. Who knows. I find that so frustrating, but I have to respect her health and no harass her. I am sorry about the additional problems with you mother's funeral. Never smooth for you it seems. Jill, I LOVE the happy dogs in Oz! sharing! Everyone have a wonderful long weekend. Carole, neutral beige is a good choice - no dilemmas about whether or not the nails will match the outfit you want to wear. My nails are gel nails. They are hard as a rock. I should get them done once a month but this time it was 5 weeks so there was a gap by my cuticle. I just couldn't get there last week. This colour is called "Pink-a-Boo". I asked for a sparkly bead and this is the design she came up with. Usually I don't spend the extra but I needed a little pick-me-up I guess.![]() |

Way to go for the Bald Canyon pair! Kath, what a pretty capture with the light coming through Snowy's ears. And the bat ear shadow! That will get Bob up and about for his favourite mac and cheese. Enjoy your family get-together. I'm still trying to get the extra cruise weight off.

Cheryl - Love your nails and the applique on them, so pretty. I used to have gel many years ago but don't like that I am on a time schedule to get them filled in. Now I do the shellac, every 2 weeks or so and every now and then, just a regular manicure. Ozzie - Such a cute photo of Snowy with his bat ears all lit up, he is adorable. I love Mac and Cheese but Alan doesn't, so I buy a gourmet M & C for me which I have for lunch every now and then. (I'm ashamed to admit it, but I even like Kraft Dinner )

Carole, I like Kraft dinner, too .... or any kind of mac and cheese. ![]() The nail tech painted the flowers on with a very steady hand. I was holding my breath so I wouldn't shake and ruin everything. Edited by cdn-cdn, Apr 13 2017, 05:08 PM.
