Thank you everyone for your supportive comments and suggestions regarding the situation with my mother. I'll let you know if we have any progress but we are discouraged at this point. Yesterday was my hair appointment and running errands. I found a good tiered organizer for the vitamin shelf so I emptied the shelf and re-organized and purged stuff. That always feels good. I bought three bags of flavoured coffee, can only find it in one certain store so I load up when I am there. I have enough for awhile now since I had three bags from my last time there. It's either feast or famine because sometimes they have nothing to choose from. When we were in Florida I found Kahlua Mudslide flavour and wish I had bought more than one. I can't find it here and it was delicious.Kath, have a good time in Canberra. You make the most of your weekends! Linda, your lovely daughter is strong, independent and successful. It must feel good to know she has chosen her life's work. You were an angel on earth caring for your parents while you were working as well. I'm sure you'll have a great time in NYC in August. Chiquita, your grandson has a good head on his shoulders with goals to complete. I enjoyed your account of the strawberries being sold at little booths. We do pass a few strawberry stands like those on our drives to visit family. We still have a couple of farmer's markets and pick-your-own places around here. The berries do taste better than the ones in the stores. Kris, how are all your bird families doing? I've been using postimages.org for links. Carole, my favourite reno show is "Love It or List It Vancouver" with Jillian and Todd. Did you watch the 4-part series about Jillian and Justin, her significant other? I also follow her on Facebook. I love her decorating style, although we would have to start over to get that look and that is not possible. I can dream but that's all. Meanwhile we need an new furnace - boring! Your four bedrooms will be a top selling point for sure. Carol, fun to learn a new dance with new music. How much longer until the church will be ready? Jill, do you ever hear from Topa? I still miss her presence, and Penny's, too. It looks like we are going to get some rain today. Enjoy your day, everyone. Edited by cdn-cdn, Jul 20 2017, 05:51 AM.

Cheryl - Thanks for the whooper dates. Whoopers , snakes I did watch the series of Jillian & Justin, Leo is such a beautiful baby. They learned that the show was not being renewed, I will miss it. Her decorating style is beautiful, would love to get rid of all my old things and have her come in and redecorate, but that won't happen. Ozzie - Enjoy your trip to Canberra. |

Hello Everyone. This is a test of my new Avatar and Signature after uploading them to "IMGUR.com", after much online research. I looked at PostImage.org's Terms and the "not to use copyrighted images" and other rules made me concerned about all the gifs and other images from the net I might want to post. I may use Postimage for just my own pics since IMGUR doesn't seem to have the album format and it seems your account could become a looong page, but they don't seem to have tight restrictions on what you can upload. IDK. I just may not have found the way to create a more condensed format, like Photobucket has. When I see how it looks here I may have to do some adjusting. My Macbook track pad has been behaving very badly, making doing anything with it very difficult. Online research indicates maybe a battery aging problem and a replacement may be needed, but whatever it is it's a big PITA! We desperately need a good Mac person to come in and help, but where we are they don't seem to exist. Everyone has PCs.I'm sick at heart to read today that the son of Cecil, the patriarch African Lion in Kenya killed by a rich American Trophy Hunter dentist last year, was himself just shot and killed by a "paying customer". He turned the poor creature's electronic tracking device into the local conservationists. Give me his gun and put him in front of me. Stop the World, I want to get off!! In one of the only joys of daily life in the countryside are the many Bird species here. The House Martins continue to tend their chicks in their mud nest under the eaves above our bedroom window. We can hear them at night chirping to each other. I saw a parent make a food drop yesterday and two little black and white heads peered out from the nest opening when the parent flew off. We try not to look at or go near the nest area when we go in and out so not scare and disrupt them. The garden bed under the nest needs weeding but we'll wait until they all fledge. |

Kris - I am devastated by the killing of this innocent lion. Give me a rifle and I swear I would shoot this trophy hunter, it just doesn't make sense that this is allowed. So happy to hear that your Martins are doing well and you are enjoying their presence, even from a distance. So far Postimage.com has cooperated and that is what I am using for now. Hope all your problems with your Mac gets solved.
