Hi, everybody. Carole, the sea eagles are such beautiful birds. Thanks for the pictures of the chick! Today I did a bit of garden clean-up, some regular housework, and I have also started re-reading "Voyager". On checking Diana's signature inside the cover, it is no wonder I needed to refresh my memory before the show starts in September. The date was Jan. 26, 1997. I realized that Jamie is still my version of Jamie and Claire is still my version of Claire, not the TV actors, as much as I adore them, too.Kris, enjoy your Mexican dinner when you and Ed have a chance to get to the restaurant. Yesterday we had a coyote run through our back yard, coming from the forest behind (it happens every once in awhile). We were all inside. I decided to go and tell the new neighbours only 3 houses away because they have a small dog and three small children. It's good that I told them (had to work up my nerve as I had never met them) because nobody else had told them about the former owners whose small dog had been killed by a coyote. The woman thanked me very much. |

Cheryl - So good of you to inform your neighbour of the coyote. I was driving near Doreen's house yesterday and a little fox ran in front of my car. I was worried as it was heading for a main street but it veered off into somebody's back yard. Doreen told me that she has seen several foxes in her area. She went out to get her morning newspaper and one was sitting beside her car, not 2 feet from her. She made a noise and off it ran. I hope all these wild animals return to the ravine in the area, they are much safer there, but unfortunately they are used to people and wander the streets looking for food. |

G'day Peeps! Canberra was very cold. -6C overnight, to ZERO at 8am, warming up to about 10C at midday. We had a nice time with Bob's middle son, Andrew & his preggo wife. She is due mid to late August. Happy (belated) Birthday to Ed! I hope you get the Mexican dinner soon! Lovely photo of Zulu with him.Carole, thanks for posting up the Sydney SeaEagle chick photos. So cute! I wanted the hatch from Canberra! LoL Not much longer for the 2nd one (we hope). Speaking of foxes, we saw a few dead ones along the roads to Canberra. Truck hits I presume. They are a pest here in Australia, not indigenous and wreak havoc on the marsupials. Glad you told your neighbor Cheryl! Lots of work to catch up on. Bob reminded me yesterday that we leave for the USA in 2 weeks!!! |
