Kath, your Australian bird display is very attractive. I like the framing and the theme. Cute and quirky artwork for the bathroom, too. :)^ :)^

Cheryl - Beautiful graphic <3

Ozzie - Beautiful job on framing. Love the bathroom photo and the whole bathroom, black and white is my favourite.

Last night we picked up Chinese food and brought it to Doreen's. Steve is starting to feel a bit better after his back surgery. His doctor told him that it will take 6 weeks to heal.

Unfortunately, after the vet removed a small lump from Charley's paw (Airedale), it was biopsied and it is cancer. (hemangiosarcoma, not good) :'( After her vet spoke to the oncologist no decisions have been made as yet. Charley is 12 years old and the vet said that he may have another 2 years with or without treatment so for now it is a waiting game. Her vet is going away on summer vacation for 3 weeks and they will meet when he returns. Charley seems fine, is eating and feels perky.

Alan is on the way to see his cardiologist. He had his regular pacemaker check-up on Tuesday and it showed an arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeat) The test results were immediately sent to our GP and cardiologist. We saw the GP yesterday and he said Alan will probably have to wear a holter for 2 days and it will tell the story. When we got home from the GP there was a telephone message that the cardiologist called. She was totally booked today but because we know her personally, she told him to come in early and she will examine him before all her other patients. He will probably have an echo-cardiogram and she will arrange for the holter.

I'm so upset that I couldn't go with him, my tummy is acting up so I have to be close to the washroom.

We were supposed to visit with Charlene in London this coming weekend, but that's on hold for now.

Aw, Carole, no wonder your tummy is upset. :Hugs: That is good news about Steve's progress after his back surgery. I'm so sorry about Charley's diagnosis. I still remember when Doreen lost Lucy. I guess they have time to think about what to do until the vet is back from holidays. If Charley is eating and happy then that's the most important part.

Alan is getting the best of care from his doctors. They have been so very fast with getting visits in and tests done. I will keep you both in my thoughts. I'm sure his doctors will come up with a plan.

Alan is back from the doctor. He had a cardiogram and was put on a new drug, a blood thinner. Now he has to stop taking the 81 mg. aspirin.
No holter, apparently his pacemaker does the same thing and regulates his heartbeat. When it comes to the heart every doctor should see the
patient immediately or recommend they go to the ER at a hospital that has a specialized cardio department.

We are just lucky that Alan knows our GP personally, he used to babysit for him and Alan's cousin in Montreal. Alan's cousin Robert is best
friends with Milton, our GP, and they have known each other from birth.

Alan knows Sherynn his cardiologist from the yacht club since 1975 and we are friends with her brother and SIL. It's a small world but
unfortunately it's not what you know but who you know.

Going for a manicure soon.

G'day Peeps, my Friday. Its sunny outside after a heavy overnight rain. I love the morning smells and will be taking the boys outside soon to play.

Carole, yes, it is about WHO you know in this world! But we are all thankful that Alan got his heart thingie sorted out asap rather than having to wait!
Did you eat Chinese too? Maybe that upset your belly!? My worse culprit is egg. Turns to cement in my system which is a shame because I love eggs.
Very sad about Charley. :'( My very first dog was named Charlie! Sounds like he has had a good life to 12years, isnt that long for a bigger dog? Not to denigrate the loss of a family member, no matter how young or old, its so difficult.

Hey Cheryl, WC postings on FB are cute!
Whats on your agenda today?

Quiet Friday for me. Might have a meet up with Valmai later today, not sure yet. We go in 5 days!

Ozzie - We ate with Doreen and the food was delicious. Alan said I ordered too much but it was all gone rofl

My IBS really isn't food related. The only thing I have noticed is that too much chocolate upsets my tummy and I love all chocolate. I have been taking the Benefiber but will give it a chance to work, thanks to you.

A large dog like an Airedale can live 14+ years so hope Charley makes it :X:

Our weather is crazy. The past few days it has been sunny and beautiful but around 3:00 p.m. the rain starts and thunder and lightening occur. We than get a power surge and I have to reset all the clocks, a real PITA. My computer went off as the cable connection conked out during the storm, but it came back on within 20 minutes.

DT doesn't believe in climate change, what an idiot he is, we have never experienced weather like this before. A summer rainstorm is normal but not every day and with hail present all the time. The only thing DT is accomplishing is giving the late night shows material for their audience and I am bored with that.

Your trip to the USA is going to be wonderful and seeing Rachel will be so great.

Carole, I am surprised 14 years for such a big dog! At 12, and the Doc says another 2 years, perfect!

I actually am happy to see DT taking a harder stance on Immigration. But ICE can be a little more compassionate about who they deport. Australia is lucky we are an Island which makes it a lot harder to sneak into!! The English requirement sucks. Its the same in Oz for professional visas (not family visas).

I really looking forward to seeing friends in LA/Ventura (including Vicki), family (Bob's son in Denver) and Rachel!

Funny how different food affects us. Chocolate doesnt bother me at all !!! :Yum:

BTW, Cheryl, LOVE the boat in the bottle! snagged!

I had TWO visitors in the yard today, lol rofl
