Hi Jill :}^ - Sweet photo of the birds at the beach.

Busy day here, Alan played golf so having him out of the house gave me the opportunity to get some chores done.

Unfortunately, we have a funeral tomorrow morning. A very good friend of Doreen's (who we saw socially with Doreen & Steve) passed away yesterday after
a very fast battle with cancer. :'( She was such a special lady and we always had a good time with her and her husband. Life isn't always fair. :(

The weather warmed up today but was still pleasant...tomorrow is forcasted to be much, much warmer.

We are just finishing up our sixth day with the roofers (they worked last Sat.) I am so happy with the new roof. We did not go with tile but instead chose a composite. I love the fish scale look and found a good product that simulates this look. As a rule, fish scaling is seen on older wooden homes in an accent location, for example, a section over a door or under the roof line. Reroofing is sure a messy job. They have done a super job cleaning up at the end of the day but there's so much dust that filters down to the inside of the home. Should have it wrapped up tomorrow.

Too hot to have much for dinner. I made macaroni salad yesterday and banana bread two days ago so that's our dinner this evening...maybe some cantaloupe, too.

Jill...loved your opening graphic yesterday. Remembering that the 26th was National Dog Day, I have a cute doggie one that I have used.
