Hello, peeps. Just checking in. I've been sick with a queasy stomach for 4 days. Last night it got worse so today I am quite weak and tired. Hopefully I am on the upswing.

Kath, I planted verbena , patterned petunias (like a paint splash), geraniums, and bachelor's buttons (but an annual, not the perennial - no tag but that's what they look like). Everything is in shades of dark, medium and light pink. I wanted to do a Pantone colour of the year purple theme but that was too difficult to find plants that suited the sun location.

It's that time of year when we had to re-new our ISP server. Bell was here today and it took 4 hours of changing cables, etc. to
get everything going for our new contract. I was a wreck because there were so many problems. Finally they got the problems
solved and everything is working well so far. All this involved the internet, televisions and home telephones. The service guy
put up with my hissy fit and got it all solved.

Good job on the hissy fit, Carole. :)^ :><: It's always awful to have workers in the house because they don't look after things as if it were their own place. Did you switch to Fibe? We have it now. Thank you very much for the get well wishes.

G'day peeps, Thursday. We had a huge rainstorm starting midafternoon yesterday that went for a couple of hours and included thunder, lightening and even small hail! It cleared the air of all the burn off smoke that was hanging around so today we have a very fresh sparkling day. Laundry out on the line!

Our art talk last night was enlightening, giving some depth to the artwork we saw and added tidbits of Italian history. The talk concentrated on ceiling paintings of Baroque Rome. Posso, Bacicio and da Cortona with comparisons in quadratura (illusions). All paintings of the period were Church commissions with strict adherence to guidelines (no salaciousness to bring on lust!). The paintings were a reaction to post Inquisition and the reaffirmation of the 'good' Christianity is. The speaker is a dog lover and focused on several paintings including dogs, I loved it!

Your garden will be beautifully colorful, Cheryl, when it matures! Its a lot of work, but certainly worth it dont you think?
I hope you feel better soon, maybe too much yard work?! Breathing in soil dust is not helpful.
Love the dinosaurs!

Funny about the hissy fit Carole. I just finished reading a page out of 'Under the Tuscan Sun' where Francis does "hissy fit" over the laborers. LoL (page 65). The leading hand says she is "porca miseria" (pig misery). rofl
Glad you got the internet stuff all sorted out!

Tonight we are going to Chatswood, or rather thats the plan, whether we do in the end... remains to be seen (or done). The town/shopping area also has Vivid lights so it will be fun and hopefully, not crowded.
