Ozzie - Thanks for the news about the Sydney Eagles, I'll keep an eye on the cam now.

Louisa and Barry have a few acres of property in Lunenberg which slopes down to the water. It is an inlet from the ocean and
Cora loves to swim in it. The other day Jack followed her into the water but didn't wander out too far, Newfies are great swimmers.
My children use this inlet to paddle-board and kayak.

Here is a video of the dogs in the water...

Alan and I are planning a trip out there at the end of July, I've never been to the Maritimes so it will be lots of fun.

It's pouring here today with predicted thunderstorms. The only good thing about it is that the flowers and bushes needed a good
watering.

Hello Everyone. :}^ With my new computer I can't seem to choose the "alt" on my keyboard that allows me to access the "pound sign", necessary for the coding of the colours I want to use. :hair: Not important but want to figure it out.

I intended to check in sooner, not leaving such a long time between posts as I have recently, but this week has been a miserable one. :( Last Friday on a walk around the local fields I took a nasty fall and, thankfully no bones were broken, it has been a painful few days with both hands injured, my left knee, elbow and palm "cheese grated", and the worst looking effect that my right hand has turned purple from a burst blood vessel in the back of my hand that became a huge hematoma until it dispersed into a whole hand bruise. A result of my holding onto my walking stick to brace my fall to the bitter end. :'( I took pics but don't want to go so far as to posting them. My hand looks like it came from a deep fried mummy. :8O: It was worse yesterday but the doctor said it will be a while before it fully recovers. While at the doc's for a follow up on a problematic skin condition she recommended a biopsy due to how it hasn't healed fully in four months. :( I'm so unhappy here I think my body is turning against me! So I have a biopsy in the coming weeks (NHS moves slowly). In SoCal I'd have an appointment with necessary medical specialists within days, with my Motion Picture Health Insurance. :hair:

Sorrowfully, I'm just not able to catch up and comment on all the news here for the moment, but still wanted to check in and "Cry" my pains and suffering to you caring ladies. :'( No response needed, just wanting a way to vent. After almost 8 years we still know almost no one in the village here and are on our own when problems arise. Adding to my gloom, my DD hasn't had the decency to respond to my recent emails to her and my "Mother's Heart" is hurting as well. <:3 I know her life is stressing and draining on her energies, but I've been hoping to hear from her sooner. :unsure

A few ays ago we had an unusual event, that might be seen as "A Sign" according to people who note such things. I was sitting in my living room recliner chair having morning Coffee when I heard a fluttering that seemed to be coming from the fireplace, which was covered by a thermal panel for when not in use. When removed a young Starling was found that had fallen down the chimney into the cinder box under the fireplace grate. :8O: Ed was able to remove the grate and gently capture the Bird who flew out over the yard toward his flock mates when released. :><: Fortunately we'd just had the fireplace cleaned a couple of weeks ago so the poor Birdie wasn't buried in the ash that's usually there in the ash box. Our landlord is one of those who would not be amenable to add a protective screen on the chimney. :(

Kris - It's so good to hear from you. You can "cry out your pains" anytime, we all do and get the support and love from all that are here on this forum.
Your fall sounds so nasty, but thank goodness you didn't break anything. The bruising and pain will eventually disappear but in the meantime, my good wishes for a quick recovery and that you are pain free. Good luck with your skin biopsy and hopefully it will turn out well. :X:

Kudos to Ed on rescuing the starling, you really need a grate on top of your chimney to prevent any birds or animals from falling down into the fireplace. We have one and have had no incidents since the installation.

Lori will eventually respond to your e-mails, she is so wrapped up in her personal problems at this time, but as a mother, I totally understand how you feel. As the old saying goes, a mother can take care of many children, but one child can't always be there for her mother.

Sending you hugs that you feel better soon and you get some peace at this difficult time. :Hugs: (((GH)))

G'day Peeps, Thursday. Sunny! Laundry out on the line. BUT, weather forecast is for a very, very cold weekend!

OMGosh, Kris. The bruising sounds awful. Too late for Hirudoid cream too, it wouldve helped.
<3 That Ed saved the bird.
I know EXACTLY how you feel about not hearing from your DD, I have the same problem (although she is getting a little better).

Speaking of DDs, Carole, Charlene & Susan's photo on FB is beautiful! <3
Lunenberg looks like a beautiful area (I googled it)

Cheryl, how is Wynn? (((GH)))

Kisses this morning!
