There's not much going on here today. Here are some pictures of the porch railing process from Monday and Tuesday. We have to wait a couple of weeks to let the wood dry up a bit before painting it. It will just be a soft cream colour like it was before. As my sister said, the old railing didn't owe us anything, having lasted 32 years and not being pressure-treated wood like the new one has.

What a pretty porch you have, Cheryl. I would love to have one like that with a couple of chairs to sit out and watch what goes by.

Thank you, Linda. When do you head to NYC? Pretty soon I think.

Cheryl - Your front porch is so pretty. The railing is lovely. All you need now is a few chairs to watch what is
going on in your neighbourhood. :P

G'day Peeps, its Winter Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere and is certainly is cold and miserable today. Rain, bluster and cool temps. We had planned to go out, but have put it off until tomorrow!

HAPPY Bald EAGLE DAY! (US)

Cheryl, not only do I love your garden and porch, but I love the color of the brick of your house! And the blue front door really is complementary. Get those rockers out!

Everyone have a great evening!
