Kath, I love the bird lady pic, and that eagle jacket that you posted on FB.

Robert has headed to Stratford. His Dad's health has been going downhill - not eating much, poor hygiene, etc.. His sister and BIL live in Stratford and have been doing the bulk of care. They are booked for a well-deserved holiday in July. Robert will have to drive there daily while they are away. Robert's better than his sister at talking to his Dad about the issues - such as maybe a nursing home or at least a personal care provider.

I googled to see if there were ideas to stop the brown squirrel rampage. A couple of ideas were to sprinkle coffee grounds around the plant, or spray some paprika/pepper/water mixture on the plant. The poor hybiscus is defoliated of all buds and the peonies have no buds and the green stems are all bent over. The other suggestion was to stop feeding the birds since that attracts the squirrels. :( I don't know if these ideas would work for possums, Kath. :hair:

Wynn hasn't been feeling well, either, not eating much and a couple of throwing up episodes yesterday. We just have to keep trying with everything until it's not possible any more.

Laurel got her first inoculations in each thigh and did well, no fever or swelling, thank goodness. Just a bit fussy.

Enjoy your day, everyone. Jill, you are missed very much.

Hi peeps! :}^

Cheryl - We are in London and enjoying it so much. Charlene is the best hostess and makes us feel so welcome.

Alan is power-washing parts of the fence, Charlene is busy with the lawn mower and weed -whacker.

Her garden is beautiful and almost in full bloom.

I hope Robert can convince his Dad to move to a senior facility where all his needs will be taken care of. :X: It will be better for him and
less stress on Robert and his sister.

Prayers :candle: for Wynn that he will eat and hold down his food. You and Robert are doing all you can do for him.

Jill- As Cheryl said, you are missed here (((GH)))

G'day Peeps, Friday! Its almost as cold as Canberra at 6C this morning! Waiting for it to warm up before I go out with Snowy brrrr.

Carole, I would love to see some photos of Charlene's blooming yard!
I hope Alan doesnt over do it!

Cheryl, my heart is breaking for Wynn, poor baby. You do what you can do and obviously LOVE sure helps.

I didnt realize that Robert's father was resisting home care or moving to a home. Older people sure are stubborn! It took us years to get my mother to agree to move.

Possibly spraying the plants might help, but I have been proactive replacing what the possum(s) eat with plants they dont eat, like orchids, epiphyllums and spider ferns. I had started out with geraniums but they LOVED them. sigh. Plus I have to deal with grubs eating the roots every year, the beetle burrows in during the autumn start munching the roots. I can tell the affected plants, they start turning yellow. The possum also eats our camellias but it is such a big tree I dont mind it.

Hello to Kris, Jill, Linda, Chiquita! Everyone have a great weekend!

Tonight we are off to the Opera House to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra 'A Night at the Speakeasy'.
