Kath, the photo "Goliath" is spectacular - so much to study and appreciate. Your evening out with Bob was very romantic. Yes, the tariffs started today. I'm going to be more careful about buying Canadian, although our industries (such as making large appliances) need to expand and develop more. I wish Trump would change his mind because nobody in Canada or the USA wants to lose their job or pay more for anything. That's terrible about the strychnine in the alcohol. seasick

Robert has to go to Stratford, problems with his father getting weaker and not able to care for himself. His sister and BIL can't be expected to do it all. So no Canada Day outing for us. I had wanted to go to a Highland Games in a small city not too far away but that will have to wait for another time.

Hello to everyone, enjoy your day, whatever your plans may be.

Kris, probably you know this but just in case .... The Victoria and Albert Museum has a Frida Kahlo Exhibition going on. It's not about her art, it's about her personal style and possessions.

We returned home late yesterday afternoon. As much as we had fun with Charlene and the girls, a house with no A/C was impossible to deal with. The humidity along with the outside temperature made it ll5 F. :8O: All the fans did was push hot air around the house. We did have a portable A/C in our bedroom but it wasn't working well and we had to empty a pail every 2 hours, the water that came out of it was flowing everywhere. Poor Maya was panting the whole time we were there, so it was time to cut
short our visit.

Charlene's garden is so peaceful but not fully in bloom yet, so she will send me photos soon and I will post them.

Have to catch up on the news here and will be back later on.

Carole, in a heat wave like this having no air conditioning would be brutal. We didn't always have air conditioning but I do think that summers are growing worse with global warming. We are only taking the dogs out a couple of houses or later in the evening. Poor Maya with her fur. You did the right thing going home early even though you wanted to stay longer.

Cheryl - I love my house, especially in this kind of weather so it's never a problem staying indoors.

I hope Robert can convince his father to move into a nursing home or senior's facility where he can get better care, meals and the attention he needs at his age.

Congrats once again on getting your medal, :><: this one is so pretty. <3

Hope that Wynn and Mia continue improving, our furry babies are such a big part of our lives.

Kris - I hope you get a break in the weather and that Ed feels better soon. :X:

It's great that you are keeping in touch with your ex, no matter what, he'll always be Lori's father.

Ozzie
- Love the flowers Bob got for you, he is a real sweetie-pie.

The Strychnine situation is :8O:

"Goliath" artwork is amazing, you can almost feel the ocean spray.

G'day Peeps, cold today and damp. 50% chance of rain. I took Snowy out for his morning jaunt. A bush turkey brazenly walked on the footpath by him while he was on the fence. Snowy, thankfully, stayed put but once the bird walked up our path to the front door, Snowy took off after him. The bird flew to the roof and they had a standoff for about 30minutes! rofl Bird finally flew next door and Snowy was unable to follow, TG.

Carole, heat is dangerous the older one gets. Like Cheryl, I never walk in midday heat anymore (I used to!). Look forward to seeing Charlene's yard! Cora and Jack are SOOO cute!

Sorry about your holiday being sidelined and that Robert is able to sort out his Dad's care. So hard, I know. Big hugs to you both.

Monday work day for me....
