Just a gentle reminder that forum protocols do not permit us to discuss the Fundraiser in the CHIL forum. We would be happy to answer any questions here at the IWS Eagle Forum. |

Snagged from IWS Update 2009![]() We thank those who diligently watch our eagle live cameras and post nest observations all throughout the day. The main purpose of our cameras is to help us monitor the nests without having to travel to the actual sites, which are very remote. This allows us to monitor the population and the other nests that are even more remote and have to be physically checked by us. If you have not watched our cameras yet, now it’s the time to start watching! Eggs will be laid soon in, hopefully, all of the nests and chicks will start hatching before you know it. Just go to www.iws.org and click on Eagle Nest Cams under the Interactive menu. While you are there, and if you aren’t one already, consider becoming a member to help support our conservation efforts on the Channel Islands and all throughout the world. For every membership level purchase or renewal, you will receive a FREE IWS bald eagle pin and the IWS newsletter. Stay tuned for more eagle news every Wednesday and have a wonderful week. Steffani |

I was just out on my bike. It's hotter than blazes out there! Not much of any wind though, which is good for the fire situation. Here are two photos I took with my small camera- Fire as seen from main post office downtown- ![]() Helicopter leaving from staging area at the Junior High off of De La Guerra Street-

Hey, Jillers thanks for the photos. I often times hear the news from the Cruz Forum before I see or hear it from anywhere else. I spoke with DD this morning who lives off State St. and she said town was smokey but Goleta was clear where she teaches. |

Someone gave me a fur coat and I have no intentions of keeping it. Might someone have an idea of how to sell it and donate the proceeds to IWS? |

I know some folks use Craig's List - I don't know anything about it though so wouldn't be able to help. Maybe a consignment shop in your area could sell it for you? just some thoughts... |
