G'day Eagle fans! If you didnt know about how wonderful a Nest Adoption package could be, check this out! Island Tours http://z7.invisionfree.com/CHIL_EagleCAM/index.php?showtopic=3642 The pet care industry is one of the largest in Australia, contributing around $4.62 billion to the economy annually and employing more than 44,000 people. Of that total expenditure, 59 percent is spent on dogs and 26 percent on cats. This means that cats are cheaper to 'run' than dogs, and birds are even cheaper, especially if you adopt an eagle there's evidence to suggest that it's all worth it. According to PIAS, compared to non-pet owners, people who own pets visit the doctor less often, have lower cholesterol, deal better with stress and are less likely to report feeling lonely. In fact, it is estimated that Australian cats and dogs saved $3.86 billion of current national health expenditure in 1999-2000. Whether you choose a Great Dane or a adopt an eagle, pets appear to be a great investment in your health. Just remember to budget for them — and steer clear of indulging in too many matching pet-and-owner outfits. ![]() Good Luck for Regan today, eye surgery

Eaglepedia Revisited June 15, 2007 As feathers begin to appear on the chicks, they will begin preening regularly. They will begin to grasp things with their talons, peck at prey and cast pellets (a collection of indigestible parts that they will regurgitate), at about 4 weeks of age. 5 weeks of age they scream loudly and stand pretty well! They next move on to stealing and monopolizing the food in the nest and exercising begins - 2 months of age. Around 9 weeks of age they may begin to perch on branches around the nest and at 11-12 weeks, they will fledge, flying from the nest! Only about 50% of the eaglets hatched in a season will make it through their first year and fewer than that will make it to adulthood in the fifth or sixth year. http://www.nationaleaglecenter.org/cgi-bin...nlarticle_id=47 ![]() (photo courtesy Paula 6/14) Visit Eaglepedia DISCLAIMER: Information here has been gathered in good faith from the internet and cannot be guaranteed to be totally accurate. |

Ozzie - Great article and it sure makes sense. That's why they are bringing dogs into hospitals and seniors homes now as it has a positive effect on their mental and physical health. Funny photo too.

I thought this commercial was funny. If you are at work keep the sound down a bit lower, but not completely off. DS showed it to me.http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&hl=en&v=Y0LgJo9Do-8 |
