If you are so inclined, remember that you can make a memorial contribution - in the note part of the "order" - make reference for who and why ........... http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/new_donation_page.htm

Eaglepedia Revisited May 20, 2007 Eaglets will be able to stand and walk about the nest, striking at sticks and grasses with their feet possibly to practice prey catching at about 8 weeks of age! But they aren't predators yet. They will begin to feed themselves and are well feathered, having achieved 90% of their mature weight with female eaglets possibly outweighing their fathers. They are very curious about and aware of their surroundings. At this age, should a human climb a nest tree, the eaglet might jump off trying to escape otherwise they usually hiss and back away, assuming a spread eagle position. Bringing this over here. Since it was a bad day yesterday on the far side. Just a reminder of why we are here no matter which forum you are on. We are here to remind our little ones to take care of one another, nature and all the beauty that surrounds us. We must continue to protect their future. Gianna at the Lindsey Wildlife Museum.

Thanks Carole...Did I tell you what a fantastic job you and the NAC are doing with the daily graphics. So cleaver all of you. Hope we have a good fund raising effort. Gianna is a very funny 2 year old now and speaks her mind very clearly! I will have her over the Memorial weekend and she wants to go back to the museum and zoo. So we will be busy bees. She loves the animals. |
