I'll never think of Chapstick in the same way again. Thanks for the laugh, Jill.

Jillers - I keep Chapstick in the medicine cupboard, my purse and my golfbag. One day I caught DH Alan rumaging through my golfbag and using my chapstick. Still better than a cat's butt.

A little more information about Echo ....Boonibarb who lives near Doug and posts on the Hancock forum also saw - and held - Echo's body, and said it looked perfect - no sticky areas, nothing to show that he got feathers wrapped around his neck (she was expecting bruising or abrasions if that had happened). Jkr, head of the research team, courageously watched the seekpoints three times, and concluded it was Echo's upper back feathers that were stuck, not a wing as some of us had thought. It's possible the part of the feathers/down that had stuff stuck to them ripped free when he fell, I suppose - but I would have expected Doug and Barb to have seen that. Posted by JudyB |

LITTLE ECHO'S FINAL RESTING PLACE At 12:30 today I buried our little Echo. He is now, and always will be, in a beautiful corner of our garden. A "forest flame" shrub is on one side of him and a scented azalea on the other side. He is surrounded by blue bells, hyacinth and bleeding hearts. A deep red rose and a white rose grow up the fence behind him. The beach can be seen from here, the deep blue water and the distant mountains - lovely surroundings for our lovely little eaglet. He is now resting in peace. Posted by Doug Carrick |
