Good morning everybody.

Topa, what a cheerful little boy. Your grandson looks so happy up in the tree. "The Circle of Life" is one of my favourite songs. Thank you for starting the day off with such a sweet photo and great song.

Jillers, thank you for sponsoring the WE and TH cams today. <3

Ozzie, maybe someday I can see the penguin parade - didn't know about that, will have to save the link.

Bought some new daylilies yesterday. These are their names:
Canadian Border Patrol (yellow with purple edges and a dark purple centre)
Spiritual Corridor (light plum ruffled edges with a cream centre)
Wineberry Candy (pale pink outside and magenta centre)

Hot Chocolate (dark brown with gold flecks) and another one called "Strawberry Fields" are the others I have from previous years. The names are so delicious.

There is a new echinacea/coneflower that is very pale pink for Breast Cancer fundraising so I got that one to go with my purple and white coneflowers.

It has started to warm up here so I'm off to the yard. I actually got two carts full of flowers but I won't bore you with all the other stuff. Except my impatiens are called "Baby Shower" and are mixed pale shades of pinks and lavenders and whites. This gardening place is just the best, out in the country, huge, all indoors, cement floors, very clean, wide aisles so that people can get past each other with their carts. Oh, and DH found a yellow trillium to plant - really unusual. Better stop before I put everyone to sleep.
:D

A female turkey was just in our yard and came right up to the deck. That's the first time one has ventured into the yard instead of staying in the woods. DH tried to take a photo but his battery was kaput. :o

My privilege to dress up the Dog statue here every May 15th since 2001. We're hoping it will educate some people & also get people to thank officers! As we were putting a sign up an officer drove by & I gave him a great big wave & smile & he waved back! :D I'm going to have to check my blanket now to see if I have a patch from a New York agency! :P
