:}^ Here I am :D

CDN, I love the wise words from the OM website. :)^

I decided to skip yoga class this morning so I could
go on a long hike before the rattle snakes were out
and sun was too hot!

Saw the hawklets from both nests today.
One nest the hawket is flying around and making a racket
while the other chick is in the nest answering back! <3 <3
The other nest the hawklet is branching while it's older sibling
is flying around quite well. <3 <3

Sweet wonderful you!

Hi Topa! Great shots of the hawk family. Glad you got out before those icky rattlers come out. This time of year, I like the wider trails, cause those icky snakes are lurking in the brush. :ok:

Exactly Topa, I don't want to mess with one of them! Som of my favorite trails are narrow in Sycamore and LaJolla Canyons. But I do them in the winter and early spring. Don't want to mess with a nasty snake bite.

Remember:

Dr. Sharpe has added a 2nd tour for every $1,000 donated:

there will be a regular IWS tour with a biologist

OR

there will be a PIMU tour with a biologist

OR

a nest adoption packet

OR

DVD

OR

an eagle item as shown in the NAC thread!

If your name is drawn - you get your choice according to where your name is drawn - you can pick from remaining items available!

Every penny counts ....

My DS and friends rented a large cabin in southeastern OH - doing some hiking at Old Man's Cave - he sent some photos - here's a couple: (it's not really a cave - it's a gorge you hike down and thru and then back up - there is Rock House which is a cave)

Hi Peeps - We are home and Alan is doing very well, just a bit tired but that is probably due to the drugs they gave him prior to the surgery. Lots of instructions for him to follow like no stooping, straining or lifting anything heavy. I guess I'll be doing more than usual, LOL. I made him chicken soup for dinner tonight so that will be a cureall. Back to the doctor at 8:00a.m. tomorrow for a check-up. Will keep you updated but I know he will be fine.

love the Chickees this morning. And the LOON, wow. Cheryl, how do you know it was the father who did the nest relief? Usually female birds are larger....

Nice gorge Harpo, is the water clean? Can one swim in it?

Good to hear about Alan's recovery, surgery is NEVER fun, and I think the anesthesia is the worst part... always makes one feel ill.

The Sydney Opera is having a Luminous festival, at night its 'sails' are lit up, here is a link for photos and a video... beautiful!
