go over to the right of the page and you'll see links for Old Man's Cave - etc.
Deb, what a beautiful setting. I don't know why, but to me, it is the perfect setting for "Last of the Mohicans". I Keep expecting to see Hawkeye and Chingachgook come walking out of the cave beneath the falls, with Cora, Alice and Heywood.

michele thanks for the post for Carole - isn't that the cutest thing! LOL

Old Man's Cave is great fun - I went as a kid - took my kids when they were younger - and we're all still going there - it's awesome ! Just those tons of steps to get to the bottom and of course to get back out! eegads!

I have the same experience at Cambria Beach, CA (near San Simeon), we would go and look for moonstones on the beach. My mother took Karen & I, I took Rachel a couple of years ago.... Nice memories.

edit, I just had to look it up....

Deb, yeah Carole's NAC posts are just plain adorable. :wub:

BTW, I had a feeling of deja vu about a half hour ago. Now that we have sound on the TH nest, I had it open and was listening to the eaglets whinning for their supper, when all of a sudden, they got buzzed by a low flying plane. Now I realize that the plane was likely not as low as it sounded, but suddenly it brought back memories of Miracle and Surprise being scared off of their nest. Fortunately, it didn't bother the eaglets as much as it bothered me. :<:: rofl rofl

I was thinking the same thing, Michele, when I heard the plane. I think we were traumatized for life last year when it happened at the WE. I froze and couldn't even move to get screen caps.

All your promos today were so cute about the chicks, Carole. Thanks for posting for her, Michele.

Good night, everybody.

Deb, I was thinking about your great idea of doing the naming polls over here. I don't need to tell anyone how far behind every other year we have raised money! And there are just not as many people over here. So I thought maybe we could do something that would make it more fun!! This is just a rough idea but hopefully it will get some 'sharpe' people's brains working;

This is Dr. Sharpe's forum and Dr. Sharpe's birds and nests!!!!!!! :EGSM:
A good way to earn a little $$ too would be like the "Walk for this or Walk for that" where people pledge money for each mile you walk, know what I mean??? Well, we could have a smaller number of names for each nest and a member would have to pledge $1 for each vote. Vote as much as you want and the name with the most $$$ would be the winner and maybe we could get that mercury (ooops, no! That's bad stuff)to rise!!! That way, if our own favorite name didn't win, it wouldn't hurt so much because we would know it had the most money!!! ^(")^ :88: >O<

Thats a great idea ElaineRuth, I'm sure a lot of people would pay $1 to vote (is that what you are suggesting?), and it would raise more money. Even just getting more peeps over here may well help.

Anyway, its my afternoon, signing off... except for this set of photos, fishermen are lucky to be alive!

Maroubra photographer Glenn Duffus caught on camera as three rock-fishermen were taken out by waves.
