Topa - Your aviary is coming along beautifully. Do you intend it for wild birds to visit, or are you going to have domesticated lovebirds.

A really cute thing happened to me this morning when I went and treated myself to a manicure. The weather was so beautiful that the owner of the salon left the front door open and we could hear all the birdies chirping. All of a sudden someone who was entering the store said that there were 2 birds doing something funny on the roof of my car. I went out to see them bonding <3 . They were cute little sparrows. I now consider my car a lucky car. :X:

Oooh, a bird bonding car. Very cool, Carole.

Topa, what an adorable aviary. It looks so nice and neat. Did you get the handyman to build it instead of DH? The grandchildren will love it, too. Do you already have the lovebirds, or will you be selecting some once the aviary is completed? Looking forward to more pictures.

Deb, how are things going with #5 and #6? Maybe I missed something. The light blue one looked like the one I had 30 years ago, named Tweetie. My FIL used to raise budgies. Was Mark Morrone there when you went to his store?

We have a wonderful young man, Eddie,
who does side jobs for DH doing home repairs.
He is building the aviary for us.
The aviary is going to look like a little house when he's
done with a composition roof and wood siding.
It will be rain, hot and cold weather proof.. :X:
Eddie should be finished with the aviary this weekend.
I already have the lovebirds, twelve of the little sweeties.

Carole, That's soooo funny, first time I've ever heard of that.
The birds must have felt safe knowing it was a Cruzer's car.. :D

well our little keets are still #5 and #6 ( a friend suggested Corb and Wright - architects) LOL we'll see
scouts Monday - gary had big meeting Tues - study study - test on Wed - big meeting on Wed - gotta pack and get our act together tonight for the weekend - heading east tomorrow after work - I have to work Sat from 5:30 - 6AM :( - gary will head further east to scout camp and hopefully I can visit there in the late afternoon - we'll see -

SO guess they will be #5 and #6 for a bit longer - they will sit on our fingers (with a little convincing) and they are now mvoing about and doing a bit of talking so they are settling in and Moty seems OK with her new cage mates!

please read my message about the journey red cat....

is it possible to put that in a newspaper or something ??

i can propose that the owner in neighborhood of NEW YORK is very sad..

maybe that this message reach him of her so that they know that the cat is healthy and find here in Holland a new owner....

i know NEW YORK is very big but we can try....why not...

G'day Peeps, MY FRIDAY! and its sunny! Maybe I can continue my indoor painting, I only have two walls finished. But they are important walls.... the new wardrobes are being installed next Wednesday and these walls HAD to be finished by then, whew. Painting is a lot harder than I thought, especially with 12' high walls. TG I had the ceilings done professionally, I could've never done that!

Egg-citing day tomorrow with more banding! Speaking of eggs, I bought X-Large free range eggs yesterday and made an omlette, all four eggs were double yokers.... whats the odds of that!?

As today is my June 5th it is the UNEP World Environment Day.... check it out!

Petra, do you have CNN in Holland, or some other international news agency that could use this as a good news story? Maybe you could send them the link. I watched the video and was able to follow the story fairly well even though I didn't understand the words. :D

Ozzie, be careful with all that painting. Those are tall ceilings! How is Rachel doing these days? Four eggs with double yolks, that was unusual and a bit of a bargain, too.

Topa, 12 lovebirds already, an even dozen. They'll love their new outdoor home.

Deb, your parakeets will likely name themselves after awhile, once you and ES get to know their personalities more.

Peetie, you can put the story in the newspaper in the USA.
I've seen that happen before,
when folks shut their storage pods and their poor
kitties were sleeping inside.
Good thing they came back to check on things
and found kittie. It's a good idea to put the story in the paper, incase someone lost a pet, they might not think to check cars, storage pods, ect..

Night Peetie... sleep well..

Cheryl, I will be careful on those walls, the ladder I have is a little wobbly too, but I have a sturdy platform ladder pushed up against it to steady it.

Rachel is both Ok and Good. Coming up to mid term exams, she came home in tears earlier this week on an exam which she says "I failed"... on questioning her it sounds like a lot of the class had no idea of the answer to the question so hopefully the marks will be skewed down. Afterwards, she posted a bunch of pics on her facebook from highschool, 'the good old days' .... welcome to the real study world! Othewise, she is Good with work and her other studies seem to be doing well and she is still with her Carlos boyfriend. He is not around a lot bc he is currently training for national swim competition coming up. (thanks for asking)

Sydney Aquarium is 21 years old today, here is a fairy penguin web cam.

Peetie the story isn't in English - so I don't know what they are saying or I'd send link to local paper here in NY
