I enrolled Hannah Rose as an IWS Member at birth and have now renewed hers as her 1st B-Day is next week ... I also joined up Vanessa of our office for her August B-Day in '07 for the first time and now renew early to take advantage of the NAC FR credits.... I bought Scott a membership for Father's Day that first year and signed it from 'Cruz' :P and then I joined up myself at year end of '06. Now I just renew us all during the NAC - so I'm renewed now until Dec.of 2010!! Nancee's so good about mailing all the items out, that I already have the renewals ready to hand out for the appropriate 'occasion' :D

That is a lot of memberships to keep organized.
That's good Nancee is a good secretary. :D

This visit home is going to be like Eagle Summer Camp.
I'm looking for everything Eagles for the kiddos.
Of course we are going to see the eagles at the SB Zoo also.
When they get older, we'll take them to Catalina and Santa Cruz..

Lala, Sasha and Summer need you to take them to Catalina this summer. :D
They would love Pimu and Heidi..
I'm sure you've thought of that already.

The electricity went out in Ojai so I ran some errands.
I need to order some blings for the new beanies I'm buying for the grandkids.
Carole, I'm thinking about making the grandkids IWS members as a family,
so I can send them home with a nice photo with the membership for their house.
I have a photo moment idea with beanies, wing blings,
t-shirts and of course taken at the Cruzer picnic location... :pi:
I thought all that should be around a nice picture frame like you've created.
Topa - What a great idea. :)^ After the look on their faces when you Skyped them looking at the Beanies, they will be so eggcited to be a member with their own blings and beanies. Once you get the photos of them at Lake Casitas, you can put together a whole montage for them to take home to Israel. What a good Grandma you are and what lucky grandkids!

One thing I was unaware of when I got the IWS Membership for Hannah that came with the beanie eagle is that 'research' over the years since my daughter was born shows that infants only 'see' black and white until about 6/8 weeks of age so bold black/white graphic visuals are encouraged in those early weeks. Her first sleeping quarters included a beanie Zebra, a beanie 'Squish', and... an IWS beanie Eagle!

She LOVED her eagle (this picture was taken at 4 months) and still does now that she is a BIG girl ....

G'day Peeps, I'm enjoying my Monday Holiday, Queen's Birthday (and I'm no Royalist! ;) )

Loved the posting this morning Michele, especially this line Here I am on Valentines Day in 2007. I was visiting Pelican Harbor and admiring their fine nest. Can you believe the comment under my picture? Everyone knows A-32!
P.S. I was a visitor NOT an intruder.

Maybe she was there for nest construction tips?

Here is an excellent article about Ocean Rubbish...

Our Aussie Dollar is up to over .80cents US so it might be a good time to buy some more IWS gear! Is there a front zip up sweatshirt?

NATURE ... or anyone of the NAC is welcome to 'snag' it for any promo/reminder ... it hasn't been posted ever on CHIL ... I also have a cute pix that I think I posted in the Traveling Eagle thread of her holding one of the TE notecards with the chicks .... OR, maybe I SHOULD post it and just mention that it's good to indoctrinate them young as a 'plug' for IWS Memberships without mentioning the dreaded 'F' Word (fundraising :D )

OZZIE .. have to admit, we're kinda 'hooked' on this GrandBaby. <3

Interesting that you post that article on the trash heap in the middle of nowhere in the Ocean ... we know Charles Moore who is mentioned in the 4th paragraph ... we have offered a mooring to him in the past when conducting some oceanographic 'experiments' in our area and, in fact, Tallycat from Nova Scotia came to So.Cal. for her tour last week and we picked her up Thursday afternoon for a bit of sight-seeing.... her 'big adventure' included a visit to the Sacred Door, of course, and we drove by Charles Moore's catamaran and pointed it out to her and mentioned his 'discovery'....

Joanie - I found the photo of Hannah Rose with her travelling eagle. I snagged both photos of her which I would like to use at another time and will, but you should do a post of her promoting "anyone at any age can be a member". Keep those photos of beautiful Hannah coming, she is so squishable. <3
