Hello, everybody. Jill, I'm very sorry to read about your boss having to lose his kitty, Bailey. Ozzie, I've watched the video about the Gouldian finches - fascinating! The one thing I was wondering about was how do the female birds know what colour their own heads are? I don't think they can see that part of their face around the eye and the top of the head. But somehow they know, since they are looking for a mate with the same colour on the top of the head. Topa, thank you so much for featuring the special ed. class and all their enthusiasm over the eagles. I hope they will all be able to watch at home over the summer. Your music selection was so much fun! Well done on a really enjoyable presentation. Joanie, I liked your longer chain idea for the pendant. Bubala, enjoy! Deb and Carole, the T-shirt and telephone posts were both so cute. I survived my substitute day and thank goodness there was no class trip. It's just that I've had that happen before without being told about it - all day at the park, water splash pad, picnic lunch, various games for them to play, a petting zoo - very long day and I just don't have the energy for that any more. |

Sorry, I just saw the other comments about the finches - must have been posted while I was typing. Seems to be the question of the day, about the female head colour! DH is watching the Stanley Cup final hockey game, Detroit Red Wings vs. Pittsburg Penguins. I'm trying to watch, too, along with typing and reading.

Thanks, Pimu, and Deb! Think I'll have a cooler and watch the game and the eaglets, too.

Thank you all for your comments regarding Bailey & my boss. I had a couple of cries today & you know how that makes your head feel. I so hurt for John, he's more a friend than a boss as I've been there over 16 years. It's hard to see him so low, first with the loss of the buildings & now his beloved Bailey. It's just sad, sad, sad.

On another kitty note, there are three to four kitties that will need a good home in a month (my friend wanted her cat to have one litter). I just went to see them tonight, they're adorable of course-![]()
