Brynn is definitely a couch potato now. We just took him for a walk and had three separate groups ask us for help. One group was an entire wedding party with family convoy including the stretch limo looking for the Pioneer Village nearby where they were supposed to be having their wedding photos done. I hope my directions were clear enough. Then we had two separate drivers ask us if we'd seen their golden retriever puppy who had taken off on them. We think it likely ran into the woods, hope they find it, both women were so upset. I got the street name from them so we could return it if we did see it. I guess the other thing to do would be to call the Humane Society. I felt so bad for them. That was a good garibaldi photo, Deb! Trinity is a dear doggie. I always love seeing photos and videos of her. |

"Here is a shot of Azalea after she fledged this morning. She was sitting high up in a Pine tree. Very hard to see. It it hadn't been for her breaking a branch that fell to the ground, would have never seen her!" ![]() Commentary and image by James R. Deal |

Cheryl - Oh..... I hope they find their puppy. I have found several over the years, one being a huge German Shepherd who looked so intimidating until I gave him dog cookies and all the dogs were returned to their owners. Thank goodness for doggie collars with the owners name and phone number. The funny thing about the GS was that I had to use a yorkie leash to bring him in the house which was like a thread.

Here's the latest post from Reese about all three eaglets: As of 10:30am today June 13, all three of the NBG eaglets are accounted for. HK and HE are in the nest tree and HH (Azalea) who took her first flight at 6:51am this morning, is sitting almost in the very top of a tall Loblolly Pine about 100 feet from last years nest tree and right along the path beside the exclosure area. Duane Noblick located her with the assistance of a bluejay. Because she was so well hidden we could not tell if it was HE or HH until I got my scope and we could see the antenna of the satellite transmitter. Due to a heavy rain storm about 11:15 we all left the eagles to fend for themselves. As of 2:30 Azalea has not returned to the nest. She is still recovering from her first flight. |

Cheryl, that is the one who likes their tummy rubbed! Such a cutie! I'm hoping my boss will want the black shorthair one. Don't know if in a month he'll be ready to get another one. But he likes black, orange or siamese kitties. And they have to be short hair. Only one in this litter looks like it'll be short hair & it's the runt.

Rescue grey hound's can be a very expensive adoption. Unfortunatly most of the race dogs need so much surgery to repair damage done by their race trainers. I had a client with three grey hound race dogs, she sold her home in Ojai to buy a ranch in Colorado to open a large grey hound rescue facility..

I too hope those owners find their puppies, how sad is that! Funny you should mention the leash Carole, when our G.Retrievers got older, we never had to put a leash on them (unless by law we had to) but as they got really really old and slow, I noticed when I put the lead on them, they walked faster?! How funny is that! I sure miss our boys. Its cold and cloudy today, I'm still under the blankets with the laptop....
