Good morning everyone! Ozzie - Awesome photograph. Topa - Congrats on the newest addition to your family, Baby Boy Asher. Zoey will love him. Enjoy your visit with them today. Cheryl - Computers are so frustrating. I couldn't get the OM Cam on all 3 computers yesterday and look what happened this morning.

Alan's eye surgery went so well this morning and I watched the whole thing on a large screen TV, it was so interesting. He's resting now and tomorrow morning back to the clinic for a check-up. The surgeon was so cute, after the operation he saw me through a glass partition and gave me the "thumbs-up" and then came out to say everything looked great.

Carole, glad that Alan's surgery went well this morning. You did very well to watch it on the TV screen. Best wishes for a quick and easy recovery for Alan. Pretty chick party screen cap, their markings are so beautiful. I think the team has expanded the screen or something - looks larger today. Glad you were able to get back online with the cam. |

Cheryl that branch just fell off suddenly of it's own accord. There happened to be some kind of truck backing up on the road at the exact same time with its warning beeper going off. During times of extrreme unrelenting heat, which they had in BC at the time, trees become very stressed and this happens quite a bit. I think that Bandit actually felt the branch going (like an earthquake under his feet) and that is what made him leave...he is so used to urban traffic noises I'm one of the ones who think he is far better off at O.W.L. where he is getting proper food and a space to excercise and perch properly on different sized branches....none of which was happening lately for him on that hawks nest....Memo to Ma and Pa Delta....move to an upscale nest for the next season

Great to hear Alan had a second successful eye surgery Carole I don't know how you could watch it 'live' though...I've seen a few snippets of lens implants on TV before...shudder, I'm just too squeemish

Carole, I'm glad Alans eye surgery went well & you were able to be there in the room with him. I had a dream / nightmare last night about Tiny's crash landing.. I was worried Tiny hurt himself.. OK Gotta Fly :soar:

Thank you Cheryl, Penny and Topa Penny, it wasn't gory at all. The surgeon makes a tiny incision, inserts the lazer that breaks up the cataract and then uses a mini vacuum to remove the pieces. Then he washes the eye and inserts the lens, no blood and gore at all. Actually Alan's eye looks the same as it did before the surgery. He has to sleep with a patch for 5 days and use eyedrops for 3 weeks. Of course he can't lift anything heavy or do anything strenuous for the next few days, in other words, no golf for 10 days to 2 weeks. I'll spoil him for a day or two, but that's it.

BBL Peeps Like Topa I am going to give Siobhan a bath too. She has a vet appointment later today for a check up and rabies shot. She'll know something is up because I usually give her bath when I have to take her somewhere 'special' like a cruzer event

Penny, thanks for the info about Bandit and the branch. It would be nice if the property owner would at least allow someone to build an artificial platform for that nest before next spring, like the one at Middle Ranch. They could get the instructions from Dr. Sharpe and Steffani.
