Good Day ADK, Hey, That rhymes.. ![]() I know it has been quiet on the forums. ![]() I think everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer. My summer vacation starts this Thursday when my kids fly in for a couple of weeks. I've been cl*#ning , painting and making room for them all. My little house is going to be crowded with the 4 grandkids, DS and DIL. Yesterday I bought a new crock pot and a rice cooker to make the dinners in the morning when I'm bright eyed. Looking forward to trying some new recipes. Today I'm going out to buy some toys for Bailla and the baby. ![]() I have plenty for the boys from their last visit, and now they're swimming and hiking. Cuuute.. I've asked the kids to help me with my Hebrew..we'll have plenty to do right here. I'll be posting photos for sure... You'll be getting to know my Israeli family better from my camera.. ![]() ![]() Dogs as Smart as 2-year-old Kids ![]() http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090808/sc_livescience/dogsassmartas2yearoldkids

Hummer attacks Azalea ![]() From Duane at NBG on Sunday: "Apparently the adult Eagles enlisted the help of a Hummingbird to drive Azalea away from the nest...she's getting too comfortable around the area so it seems. I had my eye to the viewfinder watching Azalea lounge on her perch. Out of nowhere a Hummingbird hit her square in the back and it scared her so much that she almost fell off the branch ![]() Her initial reaction to the attack. ![]() Trying to figure out what just happened. ![]() Voicing her displeasure at the killer Hummingbird....where ever it went." ![]() All Images by Duane Noblick That sharp pointed beak probably stings alot

Topa, you're a poet and didn't even know it . . . I love my slow cooker. Saves lots of time Can't wait to meet everyone through your pictures. I 'm so excited for you. I'd be out shopping for toys too. . . I'm thinking of taking a few more days off before the new semester starts too. But want to take them on nice days. Also I have to wait until my boss gets back from her vaca tomorrow to chat with her about it. I'm thinking perhaps the week my car is being fixed I might take a couple days since it will be in the shop 3-4 days. Edited by adklaurie, Aug 10 2009, 07:06 AM.

![]() Last night when I was in Target, I wanted to stock my makeup and shampoo, but I wanted to go Bunny Approved. Not something I've usually thought of doing in the past. It's funny how this gets in your mind when you read about what they do to test animals.. I'm glad L'Oreal makes bunny approved cosmetics that don't cost a fortune. ![]() Ever Pure: The Vegan Line by L’Oreal “Cruelty-free” and “vegan” are not adjectives that typically pop into the minds of compassionate shoppers when they think of L’Oreal, as the company has yet to sign PETA’s statement of assurance that it will never test new ingredients on animals. However, things seem to be changing with the cosmetics giant as it realizes that more and more caring consumers want only bunny-approved products in their medicine cabinets. Introducing the Ever Pure hair-care line by L’Oreal. With “100% Vegan” emblazoned on the front, these botanical, sulfate-free products come in formulas for every hair type: whether you need to tame frizzies, moisturize dry hair, or infuse volume in fine tresses. L’Oreal indicates on the back of its Ever Pure products that they are not tested on animals. We are thrilled to see that L’Oreal is focusing on vegan products and hope that it will make the compassionate decision to enact a cruelty-free policy that encompasses all its products. http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/default.aspx#page=top{userdata//d+d//|nav|media:_blank|overlay:_blank|diagnostic|main:beautyfilter//brands+LOP_Brand_Everpure;category+AXE_Haircare//} |
