I seem to recall reading on one of the whopper updates that that is exactly how the trainers dress. I like the swamp monster myself

Godspeed to little Pengra. :soar: The swamp monster wears a large, dark tarpaulin and jumps and flaps out of the marsh (or field, pen, wherever needed), to spook the chick(s) and send them back wherever they are supposed to be. The trainers wear the white costumes so that they look as close as possible (in the eyes of the chicks) to adult cranes. Hikers, this morning I thought, "This week is the week when Cathy's family arrives for their visit." It sounds like you have everything organized. Is the porch all set to be used now? I know it will be exciting just to see your photos of all the fun. Laurie, nice way to start the thread. Penny, thanks for the hummingbird and Azalea photos. |

Yes, The house is all set. I'm looking for the photo of the Beanie with the wing blings that Steff posted. I'm sewing the wing blings on beanies today..I found this in my photobucket. I wonder who I was saving this for? Back into my photobucket, I think I'm getting close. I love photobucket..

Oooh, gorgeous photo, snagging that one, Topa. I was searching, too. Here's a picture of the Swamp Monster . I had saved it for my whooper files at one point.

Cheryl - Thanks so much for clarifying the "Swamp Monster" costume, it is so funny. I am really enjoying the whooper cam, they are so cute. Will have to get up extra early and see if I can catch a training session with the ultralight.

They're a little sad right now and just want to stay in the box. They said I pulled their feathers and the blings are a little too tight.

Aw, poor sore beanie baby eaglets. They'll get lots of love and hugs soon from the grandkidlets. Better rest while they can! Carole, you will have better luck getting up early to watch the training. I will have to set my alarm for 7 am some day. I am definitely not an early bird any more. |

g'day Peeps, just a fly by today, busy busy (with work, at least I have some). I love slow cookers too, I have mine hooked up to a timer so that it kicks on whilst I'm out so that by the time I get home, Dinners Ready! That little hummer is gorgeous. Swamp Monster?! LOL running late!
