Cheryl - Brynn sounds like the healing process has begun. It's a long haul for a soft tissue injury, hope he will be running around very soon. New flooring, how nice. What have you decided on? Might as well do it while it is on sale. I did the kitchen 2 years ago and the mess wasn't terrible, just a bit of dust. I made the installers cut the flooring outside to reduce the mess but I was lucky that we have a terrace off the kitchen so that made it easy for them. Good luck! |

Welcome, Connie and thank you for the eagle video. Topa, Rachel will get a job in teaching, she just has to hang in there through these tough times. Sorry she has been so disappointed, I'm sure she was hoping to have her own class again. Sometimes it takes awhile to get in permanently. Have her keep her eyes open for maternity leave openings ......

Carole, hmm, that's a good idea to make the installers cut it outside. It's a permastone tile, looks like ceramic tiles but not hard or cold. Ceramic in all the main areas like that would be far too hard on my back, etc.. Can you tell we're taking advantage of the Home Renovation economic stimulus program? LOL It's in the Sears home renovation flyer this week except we are getting a very light tile called tumbled marble, not the one in the photo. We used it in our main bathroom (different colour though) just over a year ago and I really like it. |

Cheryl - Very good choice. I really dislike cold hard floors that give you a pain in the lower back when standing in the kitchen working. I put a laminated wood floor in the kitchen as it blends in well with the oak flooring in the rest of the house. My children are also taking advantage of the government rebate, one needs a new roof and the other needs new windows. |

Penny, the little hummer looks so intent on holding on to the fluff. Carole, I just love the polar bear pic, it's the one that popped out at me right away. Parachute games at Topa's, that would be so much fun. Deb, I remember when your door got wrecked. How annoying. Flooring guy called and he is coming to measure on Monday morning. |

Wow catM, it doesn't matter if you miss one? I have a friend in our Model A Ford club who got a kidney from his daughter & it lasted 7 years. He had some other medical problems & was in the hospital & I think all that is what caused his kidney to fail. Now he's doing the dialysis at home daily instead of having to go in 3 days a week. The man I gave a kidney to 6 years ago March is doing well & has never had to be on dialysis thankfully. I guess you know what you're doing though, but I'm concerned for you!

Jill, thank you for your concern. Normally, I would be too. However, a few months ago when I still had the catheter, the nurse broke the tip of the catheter and it was almost 6 full days before I had it repaired and could have dialysis. By missing one session, I will only be 3 days without dialysis. I think I will be fine. Topa, the kids are so cute. Looks like they are having a ball! |
