Carole, my condolences to your friend on the loss of her mother. She did live a long and healthy life! Good luck with the doctor's appointment, hope he gives you something to fight the cold before it turns into bronchitis. Cat, my goodness, you are really an early bird! We can feel a touch of fall in the air as well, and the angle of the sun is different. Carole, thanks for posting the training video. The chicks are following so well. Truant #918 isn't heading into the marsh any more now that he has figured out the joy of flying. No more opportunities for chicknapping attempts by the adults - hopefully. |

Cheryl - You are totally responsible for turning me into a craniac. Alan asked why I was on the computer so early in the morning as our nests are usually empty at that time. Well.......I explained to him all about the whoopers and how they were being trained to fly down to Florida. He was so impressed he actually watched the video.

I spoke to my girlfriend in Montreal twice today (the one who just lost her Mom) and she insisted that I not even try to come to Montreal. She said that I would be there in spirit and that was as important to her as being there in person. We have been friends for 52 years, that's a long time and she is so special to me, I just her. Also, she didn't want her kids and grandkids to catch my cold........she still has a sense of humour in all her sadness.

Justgot home from a wonderful 4 day weekend at Disneyland and surrounding area with the kids and their friends. Had a great time and it was not too hot so that wa a bonus. Just to let you know they are bringing the Lincoln exhibit ack into Disneyland so I was thrilled to see that as they never should have taken it out in the first place. As usual they are adding more rides and attractions in both parks so that was fun to see. The new Toy Story 3D ride was loads of fun. My hubby just became a stein master at Gordon Beirsch which is only awarded to 100 people per restaurant and is an honor to be asked to join. Special privledges are envolved and prizes awarded too. It is a very nice restaurant with very good food! |

Terrific pics of your day Cathy with the gkids! They look so happy. Today is cooler, only getting up to 60 and that only briefly. My days are discernably longer! LOL Com'on Spring! A friend of 52 years would certainly know you are there in spirit, what a great person. Sorry to hear about her mother
