Carole, thanks for the zoo pictures. The polar bears looked fairly active in their grotto. We need a Toronto zoo cam. I didn't know about the pneumonia shot, should mention that to my mother. She refuses to get the flu shot, says it made her really sick in the past, can't talk her into it. You are fortunate that the lab is across the hall from the doctor's office, that way you got it all done in one visit. I still haven't taken my papers in to have the tests done from my check-up a year ago. I did go in once (22 min. drive) and couldn't have the bloodwork done because I had eaten breakfast. The doctor hadn't told me. I've never gone back, oh well. You'll be glad it's all over now. I'll tell Ian about your compliments, it will cheer him up today. He says he passed out when he saw the needle! Not sure if he's joking or not, he really is badly afraid of needles. Deb, that's quite the story about your mom and baby sister waiting for you to come around. |

Cheryl - The only reason I knew about the pneumonia shot is that my Mom gets one and in my doctors' examining room is a big sign "Have you had your Shot" giving all the reasons why at the age of 65+ it is very important. I have lots of friends that won't get a flu shot, they just don't believe in them. You should get your lab work done but the requisitions are probably not good any more . We have a choice with my GP. Get a physical any afternoon that he does them and don't fast, go to the lab any morning you have fasted and it's a first come first served basis. I chose to get it all done at the same time but he only does complete physicals one morning a week so I booked this about 4 months ago. As far as Ian's creativity is concerned, has he ever thought of going into the advertising business in their creative department, he is good! |

yeah my mom gets a pneumonia shot too - that's how I know about them! she gets flu shot too gary's work gives them all a flu shot - every year! I get one once in a while ----- hmmmm Congrats Jules another big winner!still hot but nice a breezy out - humidity not too bad I see there's some hurricanes and storms heading to the east coast - guess I better get informed and see just what the projected path is! Usually the carolinas get whooped and because they kind of stick out - they deflect most of the storms from us! There was big thing in paper today so gonna double check our supplies just in case!

I told Ian that people liked his structure - he's mad at me for posting it! Sheesh! I have been getting the flu shots for many years - way before it was strongly recommended for everyone. Teachers are exposed to all the germs from all the families in the community, so my doctor talked me into getting them a long time ago. Jules, congratulations on your win!

I figured you'd be up here at some point Topa! So are there 3 or 4 grandchildren(for some reason I thought there were 4, but I think I've only seen pictures of 3!)? They're cuties! Edited by jillers, Aug 18 2009, 07:29 PM.
