eaglepedia revisited March 29, 2007 Eagle Hunting/Eating (part III): A bald eagle can go several days without eating but it may not be able to hunt effectively in order to survive. The carcass of a seal is a large food supply and can feed a group of eagles for days, providing rich fat and protein. However, the calories gained from such a feast will be lost in fighting over the food. http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/eagle3.html ![]() Visit Eaglepedia DISCLAIMER: Information here has been gathered in good faith from the internet and cannot be guaranteed to be totally accurate. |

well if I could afford to send you a ticket Ozzie to come paint for me - I'd just keep it and come visit you I don't do Picasa and Jann is always asking me to put slideshows there cause they are bigger - I pulled up Picasa but it says I have to have a google account? anyone here do Picasa?? know anything about it! It's warm here again this AM - I haven't checked this morning to see where the hurricane is going - last night it was projected to be just off shore from us - as long as the weather keeps it off shore, we will probably only get some rain? It's due in the area late Sat/early Sun. SO probably won't really know anything until tomorrow! It's not supposed to come too close or on shore here - oh well! Anyway I'd rather it come during the week - days off from work LOL hope everyone is feeling better and enjoying the summer as it begins to move on down the road! Topa - how's those kids this morning? Lala - is it time for school yet I heard some start on Monday 24th and I heard some already started - WOW now what to do this weekend hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm |

Good morning, peeps! Carole oh, my, what super zoo pics this morning!Good luck to Meghan the sailor girl. She looks so confident standing on the boat. Ozzie, your painting job is so professional. Those ceilings are mighty high, you were strong to get up there to do that job. Your rooms look very elegant. Topa, your little tennis players look so cute. You are keeping them busy with a wide variety of activities. I'm sure the time must be flying by ... a week already. Thank you for all the information on Photobucket. They are up to something. Maybe I will write to them to find out what happened, just so they realize I know something is going on. There is no way that account was full. Deb, sorry, I don't know anything about Picasa. I think I have an account with them but I never use it. The students here don't go back to school until the day after Labour Day. I think that's Sept. 8th. They did go to school right until the end of June, though. |

![]() The Three Mouseketeers, all grown up. Left to right: DS Ian, the youngest, DS Matthew, and dear family friend David David is only 3 weeks older than Matthew. They had so much fun catching up on each other's lives - just a joy to see them together again ...... drinking beer instead of milk this time. |

Cheryl - What a handsome trio of young men. They must have really enjoyed catching up on what they have been doing. It's funny, milk and cookies turns into beer and pretzels.

CDN, Great photos of your sons & long time friend David. Everyone is still sleeping, DH took the coffee maker into the bedroom to make coffee because the machine is so noisy. Now I have to go get some cups.. This is a front page article from a few days ago. DD is taking the full time sub job but is not signing a contract incase a full time teacher job opens up. She has been called back by the principle and the Goleta school supervisor and told they are looking for a full time job for her. A sign of the times for California schools.

Thank you, Carole. I don't like Matthew's beard but whatever. My brothers both went through the same phase. The stories they were telling of the fun they had in the woods behind our house, and of Matthew and David ganging up and wrestling with little bro Ian. I think Ian could take both of them on, now. Sweet revenge for him. David has such nice, curly hair, just like his mother had. He is heading for Teachers' College in B.C. in a couple of weeks. His dad bought a large trailer for him to live in on their land near their house so he won't go into debt. (on Vancouver Island) David told me that this summer the eagles have been flying around the lake every day, and he sees them diving to catch fish. |

We started the day off really early. We went to synagogue for a baby naming. Our friend's daughter gave birth on my birthday (won't ever forget Noa's birthday) and the rabbi did a beautiful short service blessing the baby and all the family. It was followed by a beautiful brunch. The new parents also have a 2 year old son who kept kissing and hugging his new little sister, it was a joy to see. Saw lots of old sailing friends and caught up on all the news. Lovely way to start the day! Weather here is hot and very humid and thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon. Tonight a very old friend is coming over for cocktails with her new beau and then we are going out for dinner, our local little Italian bistro which is yummy. |

Thank you, too, Topa. Rachel will get a job, she just has to stay strong and determined. Obviously she is an outstanding teacher and her principal and supervisor have her at the top of their list. Aw, Carole, what a nice, happy way to start the day ... seeing a baby and the happy family, meeting up with old friends, and having some good food at the brunch, too. Enjoy your evening out at the bistro. |

Better go and get some work done here. DH is out mowing the lawn before it rains. Will check back in later. Feeling sad about little Faith and K-96. They are so young and brave to think they can fly to the mainland like that. :soar: K-98 Faith :soar: K-96
