One more shot and the reason I was sitting on the deck with a camera in the first place... little hummer really scolds the peacocks for being so close to the feeder..lots of noise from such a small bird...

Laws that Fail to Protect...

How can a country that recognises that all animals share the ability to suffer,
not protect all animals from acts of cruelty?

We took Brynn for a walk around the block for the first time in weeks. He is still hobbling but is gradually improving with his injured hamstring. I think he was getting depressed because he was so used to having four walks per day, including a couple of long ones. Posted Image

Cheryl, it is so good to hear that Brynn is well enough to go for walks......and I don't doubt that the poor little guy has been depressed. I would be too. The walking may be just what he needs at this point to help strengthen his back leg (hope, hope, hope).

Saturday my friend Susan and I went to Placerville to just browse through the shops there and to have lunch. We visited this cool little Art Gallery and I was really tempted to get a few unframed prints. I didn't think to look in Michael's for frames......but that sounds like a good idea. We have Aaron Brothers and they are pretty reasonably priced. Your watercolors sound like they will look lovely....and what special memories attached. ~Sigh~

Such great photos posted by everyone.....pure "eye candy", it is. ;) :)^

Topa, I can't believe it's time for the kids to return home. Where does the time go?!?! The gg are adorable.......the pix of them hiking is just too cute......

Carole, take tender care of yourself......what a rotten time to have a cold.......not that there's ever a GOOD time to have one....but I just think having a cold in the summer is just the worst. :Hugs:

Deb, you are becoming quite the wildlife photographer. That was a beautiful shot of the Red Tailed Hawk.....a beautiful shot of his profile accentuating his beak. I would NOT want to be his prey. :ok:

LaLa, what can I say.....you are phenomenal. The pix of the peacocks and the Hummer were once again, not just a picture, but a story. You are just too good for words........ :clk:
