Ozzie - Beautiful flowers, a sure sign of spring and Tigsy is just adorable. I read about that garbage patch awhile back and it just disgusts me, wish they could clean it up but where to start, it's humongous.

Good morning everyone. A song for our eagles today; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35x_rwyBh-8 I like lemon/lime flavors too. Yum. I like to use lemon or lime on my salads (lemon/lime and a little olive oil) and some veggies - lemon on spinach and asparagus is yummy. Awwwwwww Tigsy what cutie.Hey ozzie - what time is the tea party?? Great zoo captures. I feel like the napping polar bear today. . . And Squiggles awwwwww |

Good morning peeps! I'm having photobucket problems again. I only have one page, the Photobucket program won't let me view all my photos I've saved. Thanks for the Tigsy photos. |

Just popping in to say hello. Ozzie, wish I could come to your tea, cupcakes, and "more" housewarming party. Your friends will love your new place. Tigsy is such a character, doing something funny in all his photos. You could put him in a book. Linda, well done on making Carole's lemon squares already. Hikers, hope you can get your Photobucket problems worked out. Our Photobucket accounts hold all our screen caps and videos that document the history of the eaglets. If Photobucket messes up our links we have lost our archives of Limuw and all the rest. They have definitely reduced the amount of free storage by a lot! I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy the pro account. My concern is with my first account with all the Limuw pictures. I can't get pro for both accounts every year. Then there are all our NAC graphics that are archived, too. Going out for wedding anniversary dinner tonight with my DH. August 28, 1971 to August 28, 2009. :soar: :soar: Saw a biplane overhead this morning when I was out running errands. I think there is an airshow going on.

Ozzie, beautiful spring flowers! Quite a contrast to that awful garbage patch ...... wonder if any country is willing to start cleaning it up. Laurie, thanks for the John Denver song, listened to it while I was catching up. |

Here is a touching entry by Bev Paulan at OM, writing about the training of the two babies of the group, #928 and #931. Once again, we awaited Chris’ thumbs up, then swung open the gate. 928 was the first out, although it was not quite the excited sprint of the older birds. Soon he was dancing anxiously beside the trike while we waited for little miss pokey, aka 931, to grace us with her presence. She took so long Chris decided to shut off the trike engine, at which point 928 took off on his own short, erratic flight. Lacking the strength to control his direction, he yawed off the runway and landed in the bush. At that moment, after a few perfectly placed grapes, 931 finally emerged and Chris started up the trike. After rolling down the runway all of 50 feet, he once again shut off the engine to assist 928 back onto the runway. Both birds now where they belonged, Chris once again fired up and led the way down the runway on a high speed taxi. 928 was airborne the entire way, albeit only a few feet off the ground. 931, running behind with all the speed she could muster, soon became like an Olympic 'hop, skip and jump' competitor. Her strides became longer and lighter, bouncing her into the air with an unexpected grace. She began flat footed, got onto her toes, and then in the blink of an eye, was actually flying, complete with air between her and the ground. First one pass down the runway, then another. It is always a joy to watch a first of anything; whether a baby’s first step or a crane’s first foray into the air. Pride is the central emotion that is experienced. Not only pride at the discovery of a form of locomotion, but also a prideful glimpse of the future. First a hop into the air, then circuits, then before we know it migration legs. And awaiting all of us at the end, the future really begins - - that first thermaling flight in Florida when the chicks finally leave us and become the wild Whooping cranes they are meant to be. |

Carole, the lemon squares are delicious! The ones I brought to work this morning are gone, and I have gotten lots of compliments! Happy Anniversary, CDN CDN! You two lover birds have been together a long time! Have fun tonight! It will be 30 years for us this year. And we have a 15 year old daughter. We were late bloomers!
