eaglepedia revisited June 20, 2007 Feeding Behaviors - Bald eagles will watch other eagles so that they can discover food sources. Juveniles will follow the older birds from the winter roosts to hunting/scavenging locations, learning the skills to survive. Many eagles will very quickly surround carrion discovered by one eagle. Eagles use each other to spot prey, or carrion sources, a benefit of having outstanding vision. One eagle can see another eagle soaring in the sky from up to 2 miles away! Eagles may also use crows/ravens to locate food sources. Eagles will leave their night roosts about 1/2 hour before sunrise, arriving at their hunting perches in the feeding areas. For about an hour after sunrise they fish and feed heavily. When full they will spend most of the day perching in trees, conserving their energy. They may take flight again if assured of getting food as a reward for their energy expended. http://www.nationaleaglecenter.org/cgi-bin...nlarticle_id=46 ![]() Visit Eaglepedia DISCLAIMER: Information here has been gathered in good faith from the internet and cannot be guaranteed to be totally accurate. |

![]() Ozzie - What a terrible mess. Thank goodness no one was in the bathroom when the ceiling fell down. Just think how pretty it will be when renovated. Jill - Katie and George are precious, they seem to like your computer, do they chase your mouse.

I was awakened by severe spasms in my right hand this morning. I hope they go away quickly. I am drinking more water than I should right now to try to get rid of them. |

CatM, Is that your fishing hand? When I ride the stationary bike I wake up with spasms in my calves. Maybe a little stretching will help |

Topa, no I have to fish with my left since my right hand is partially paralized. The spasms come from a combination of dialysis (which tends to cause dehydration) and my trying to use the hand too much. After I drink water, it usually goes away. The spasms are already subsiding. |

Maybe I should drink more water after riding the bike too. I know our trainers always tell us to drink bottles of water. I might not be drinking enough. I do love water. But not in quarts at a time like the trainers say, Two bottles of water after a work out.. |

Yes, drink lots of fluids - and water is the best. Dehydration causes cramps and spasms. "Sports" drinks also help with electrolyte imbalance after exercise. I stick with water. |
