Hi Bea - Alan is going in for gallbladder surgery on Sept. 25th. It will be done laparoscopically so he will be home the same day but must take it easy for a few weeks.

Enjoy your new plate or adoption certificate from IWS.
:)^
Thank you Carole!

My Birthday Wish this year (24th) will be for Alan to have an easy surgery and that he'll recover quickly so you'll let him get back on the greens :X: :X: :X: ^(")^ ^(")^ ^(")^

Hikers, beautiful picture of the most beautiful place in the world!!! More, more, more!!!

Yes, Santa Cruz is the most beautiful place in the world.
Today was one of the best days I've seen on the island too.
The color of the water..We couldn't believe.

Carole, Is that your menu for Rosh Hashanah?
You have been a busy Cruzer, Looks fabulous.
I'm sure your looking foward to getting the family all together
for the holiday.

Penny, yes, DD still likes the cupcake idea for a wedding cake.
DH tried to discourege the
idea, but DD came back to cupcakes...

We were beat after the hike.
Island Packers didn't give us much time on the island because the Chumash
were having a weekend celebration at Scorpion Bay.
They had sooo much stuff to pack on the boat and then again off.

Jo Ann and I got to do the hike alone so we flew as fast as we could.
50 minutes up, one hour to look for eagles and 50 minutes back to IP boat.

We were the last on the boat, and I had to run...lol

Topa & Jo Ann.

Topa - That's the menu..........we don't eat like that every day, just holiday time. If I cooked like that all the time I would weigh 250 pounds and have very high cholesterol. :D Cheryl had asked what I cooked so I posted it.

All your photos are beautiful. You and Jo Ann did the "Death March" in record time, you deserve an Olympic Gold Medal.

Topa we can see you had a fabulous day although to tell you truth I could never even do that hike and then have to run for the boat at the end of it :P

The colors all look so unbelieveable especially the water. :)^ I know you and Jo Ann are going to :Zz: well tonight. Hope you have some more to show us tomorrow.

That is quite the Chumash medicine stick , do I see an eagle feather on it along with a red tail hawk feather? The dolphin on top is an interesting touch...I am more used to the carved BC totem images or Plains Indian regalia on Native artifacts so I found that one very unusual :D
