Penny, what is the name of that cellist and do you know if you can purchase his cds online? We have a young friend who is a cellist and I am always looking for something different and good to get her for gifts. I would love to have the details! Take a nice nap this afternoon! I would have a really difficult time staying awake for anything at midnight! Wow - I don't know what I did to make this so BIG!

Linda you can change your post by clicking on edit....go back and change the size of the text and remove anything you don't need to have in it. Check it first on preview to see if it worked ![]() The name of the cellist is Nikolaus Herdieckerhoff and he is German...his cello is from Bresslau, Poland and he calls her 'Umbra'....she is an 'old' cello and they make the most beautiful music together. Here is his website where you can see the CD's etc. Click on ![]() Click on albums where you can also listen to the music

Penny - Have fun tonight. I just love the cello, Casals, Yo-Yo Ma, etc. My sister who is a harpist (retired now) has worked with the best of them, lucky her. |

Carole Nikolaus is also a classically trained musician but he plays with a more relaxed contemporary feel...he does not relate to formal 'stiffness' He talks about Umbra as if she were a living, breathing entity and she does come alive every time he touches her. He was disappointed his concert time got changed from 10:00PM to Midnight because of some double booking error, so we are making sure he has an audience by telling everyone we know about it

Penny Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Ed seemed a bit improved a few days ago but is in a lot of stomach pain today. It was his birthday yesterday and he ate some things that he really can't tolerate, like a couple bites of Birthday cake and ice cream. Sugar gives him an immediate acid reaction. The doctor now suspects Crohn's Disease and Ed is considering having the endoscopy and colonoscopy to diagnose it and rule out cancer. It's so frightening to him to face, and me too, especially with all his sensitivities. SIL's boss had a bowel perforation during a colonoscopy that hospitalized her for a week! I just read that "Woodhenge" article this morning. Thanks! Very interesting they keep finding things in that area. It was posted on a couple of sites I usually check. I think this is the second one they've discovered near there. It's such an energetic location that the ancient people were well aware of. We and others have photographed luminosities and anomalous effects inside the stones. When we talked to Stonehenge guards years ago even they told us they sometimes saw "lights flying off the stones at night". Many genuine and hoaxed Crop Circles have appeared near there too. So sorry I haven't had much chance to say Hi, or comment on anything. I've tried to keep up on major events even if I haven't had much chance to comment. So awfully sad about K98. No bad news about K08 please. At least it's Friday. Wishing everyone a great weekend. |

Kris - Sorry that Ed is still suffering. Crohn's is a very painful disease, a friend of mine has it and has gone through several bouts of it along with some surgeries. She is doing very well now. As far as a bowel perforation during a colonoscopy is concerned, they are few and far between. I remember having to sign a paper in the hospital prior to the procedure. At least if God forbid anything goes wrong, you are in the hospital and immediate care is given. Please know that you and Ed are constantly in my thoughts and prayers .Please wish Ed a belated and tell him that I hope with each coming birthday he feels better and is pain free.
