Good morning, everybody. We had a visitor in our yard today. The mother deer was in the woods but baby decided to explore our back yard. My fuchsia flowers must have been tasty.

OM Gosh, is the wedding really happening tomorrow! :D
I'm up early to make a call to the hotel. I made gifts bags for the guest
arriving to the hotel today with water bottles chips and sweets.
DH printed out the directions to the rehearsal dinner and wedding sight
and wanted something to put them in, so he thought a gift bag with the usual mini bar goodies
would be a nice arrival gift!. aww :D
That's our first stop today.

Sorry I haven't had time to take a single photo. I'll try today since it will be more interesting
as we will be in Santa Barbara at the wedding sight. We have the use of the wedding sight today
so the event planners can begin dropping off equipment and have an extra day to set up lights, ect.

Rachel & John drove to Ojai last night for dinner, It's wonderful to see them excited and happy.
It's just great to have Daniel here.
Can"t wait to get a visual on the things I've seen on paper over the past year!

Checked in to the forum last night for the " Hope " Update and saw that Dr. Sharpe
posted a Santa Rosa update.
So I flew in this morning to read it! Super update as usual.
I hope Dr. Sharpe's ankle heals quickly.
Wish you all were here!
:clink: (((GH)))

Have fun, Topa!!!! I can feel the excitement from here! Great idea about the goodie bags. All the planning and preparation coming to reality! I'm so happy for all of you. Maybe Daniel will be able to stay all summer in 2011. Best wishes to Rachel and John for their special day tomorrow. Enjoy!!

Congratulations to Rachel on her new teaching position as well. I looked through the school website. It looks like a scholl where the parents really support their children and expect them to excel. Everybody, students, staff, and parents looked so happy in the year's pictures of special events.

Kath, nice to have Rachel come for a visit and use the shower, just like she's never been away. Good that Rex dropped in as well.

Kris, just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of both you and Ed. He is suffering so much, and it is hard on you, too, with all the worrying. :Hugs:

Cheryl - What a sweet little doe, I'm sure it had a few munchies in your beautiful garden.

Something interesting I got in an email today:

Wal-Mart vs. The Morons

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.

8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,

It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:

a. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.

d. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.

e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.

f.. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.

g. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Folks, keep this circulating. It is very well stated. Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected' (they never read anything) and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel.

Linda - Those statistics are unbelievable. No different here in Canada as compared to the USA with the exception of our Health Care System which is working for the time being but still needs lots of improvement.

Topa, you probably won't see this, but in response to your inquiry, yes, I was out of town Friday through Tues.! I wrote a short message on CHIL today while I was at the bloodbank & the whole post had disappeared when I got back on the forum later today! We went to Long Beach with other Model A people on our yearly trek to a Model T car part swap meet then on to Murrieta Sunday to see DIL & family. I've finally caught up on both forums but am way behind on e-mails! Great pics & videos on both forums as always! :) Will be driving past the wedding location tomorrow as I head downtown to take care of kitties! So I'll be praying for everything to go as planned & for you all to have a fabulous time! :)
