Artsy, This was Darling Daughters wedding cake. It looks like the photo was taken when the cake lady dropped it off at the wedding sight. The cake was later moved and set on a yellow and white table cloth. Each layer was a different cake. strawberrys & cream with chocolate cake, choc and choc, and lemon cream and white cake.

Topa Rachel's cake looks understated and elegant and so contemporary. I bet it was just delicious. Did you try a bite of all the layers?....oh I forgot you went to a few tastings |

Really love the cake, Topa! And it sounds like it was delicious, too. Wedding cakes have changed so much since I was married. I can't tell - is that fondant or just regular icing on the cake? Hope Rachel and John got to save the top for their first anniversary! |

G'day Peeps! My Thursday, cold and beautiful sunrise. Working from home but had to get up early in case the cable man showed up early (scheduled for between 7 and 12 am). So this is what I wake up to from my bedroom window![]() I had a terrific dinner last night with three other girlfriends, Monique and two of her friends., so two new friends Funny story, one of the gals is using the online dating like myself and she met up with someone who I had exchanged emails with as well! 7 degrees of separation! We were laughing I should contact him and meet up with him and then 'report' Just might do that! The food was French, so very rich, glad I only ordered an entre size of scallop ravioli. Little children (kitties) were so glad to see me at 11pm... they thought they'd been abandoned.... Kibbled, enjoyed the photos this morning and RACHEL just looks gorgeous... (not to mention the cake!) |

Topa, the cake and the photo of the back of Rachel's dress .... I like the idea of the three flavours, one for each layer.Kath, you captured the soft colours in the sunrise so well. The silhouettes of the trees really pop out. Good story about the online dating. |

Cheryl, thanks for the Whooper link There are two chicks on camera now hunting and pecking. Topa what a gorgeous photo of Rachel! Her gown is so elegant and classic! Ed's doctor has had a frustrating schedule change and had to postpone his procedures for another week and a half. He hasn't had quite as much pain since the ER, thankfully, but increased scary bleeding. One of the meds he had to stop taking was contributing to that too.At least the "Top Kill" seems to be working, maybe. There are still horrific reports of potential for disaster in the non-mainstream news, but I can't believe the BS they're trying to put over in the mainstream news this week about how so much of the oil has "dispersed" or been otherwise "collected", and seeming to sweep the countless dead creatures and devastated habitat under the rug while saying the surviving Fish are fine to eat so "Come on down." |

Kris DH and I were just talking about how we did not believe the news on the Gulf spill as it was being reported that " Nature has taken care of it and it is basically all dispersed and the rest has been cleaned up so it is all good now " Nobody with a brain is going to believe them Now BP is going to drill a deep water well off the coast of Angola...there seems to be no way of stopping them from ruining the oceans of the world Sorry to hear Ed is still dealing with such seriously debilitating issues. Still keeping him in my prayers for a good result from his tests.
