Kris good for you to get rid of some more 'baggage' from the past Have you ever gone to therapy for help regarding what sounds like a 'horrific' childhood? Ed is managing his pain better and that the Dr.'s can find out what exactly is going on with him

Penny starting when I was 19 I was involved with various types of therapy, even trained to be a therapist so have been up the Wazoo of the psychology of past issues. At one time I even worked as the babysitter for a schizophrenic movie star, and was sent by his managers to workshops on schizophrenia to best be able to deal with him. Bizarrely his managers owned the Tate murder house and he lived there when I knew him, adding to his psychosis. Psychology was my religion until my mid 40s. It was only in recent years when my egregious mother perpetrated a horrific catastrophe on the family that even ended in the death of my disabled brother and I was the only one who could be her conservator, that I had to become involved with the family drama again. It was a nightmare that I've mentioned a bit of before. I resigned from being her conservator in November, but the damage she did still effects my DD and my life dramatically so it's hard to completely forget it. Getting rid of family reminders has been helpful. The stress of Ed's illness has me occasionally seeing a wonderful therapist I used to see twenty years ago, she's more like the friend I don't have than a therapist, and is a great sounding board. Ed's pain isn't letting up and he's trying to get his doctor to refill his pain meds before the weekend. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts. Forgot to add this link to satellite images of the Gulf oil spill showing where the oil is that they claim has mostly "dispersed".

I hear ya about family and affects and well just the whole thing. I'm trying to be OK about the situation with my (step)mom from last fall and when I move along with some peace .......it rears it's head! Got some of her mail forwarded to me this week by the facility where she apparently is (my 2 siblings are keeping all of that info to themselves). There's only one way they would have my name and address - those 2 siblings! Grrrrrrrrrrr........ the same 2 who want nothing to do with me and want me to have nothing to do with mom .... odd - then why give my name and address and instead of forwarding stuff to my 1 sibling who is supposedly the go to person now, it's sent to me - hmmmmm and double grrrrrrrrr. They told me to get lost but they won't let me be lost ![]() Anyway hang in there Kris ES and I are sneaking out to a little din din - weeded and mulched back yard places that we had not yet done - it looks so sad with no rain ..... but on the plus side - no mowing! Maybe we'll go see a movie hmmmmm something we don't often do!

Deb Like they say, we can't chose our family but we can chose our friends. Not much consolation sometimes when the familial agitators rear their disruptive heads. At least now all my mom's mail goes to her new conservator, and they can call him when she misbehaves.
