Not much going on here, just lazy summer days I think we'll try to see Inception today. We pick up Zoey sometime between 5 & 6 tonight. So we have all day to do something. Thanks for the wing up Harpo. One of the best highlights of the wedding was having Daniel fly in. I'm hungry like a wolf to plan next years family reunion. So is DIL we've been skyping and chatting about our plans for next year! hungry like a wolf ![]() Kris I sure hope your DH doesn't have Crohn's disease. One of our friends has it and one of DDs young friends has it. It has to be one of the most painful diseases to live with. It's looks like the empty nest winter season is off to a great start in Whooper Cam Land! WHOOP WHOOP CDN. DH and I went out to a nice restaurant in Ojai last night, and just order appetizers and DH had a mango martini. Even though our bill was on the small side for this restaurant we tipped the server really good , she gave us a great table and great service. She was so nice. Ojai lala knows Susannes. mmm, my must be strong this morning, I'm chatting away.

![]() Playing Mom for a Baby Gorilla Back in April and May, we brought you the story of Misha the Louisville Zoo's baby gorilla, which had been injured by a surly male gorilla. To facilitate her recovery, it was determined that Misha should be moved to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, which is internationally recognized for caring for gorillas in social groups including the placement of young gorillas with surrogate mothers. Surrogates are taught to not only care for their baby like their own but also to bring the baby over to staff when prompted for bottle feedings, medication and regular check-ups. For now though, Misha spends most of her time with zoo staffers as you can see in the must watch video below. ![]() |

Judge orders US to keep protecting 'endangered' wolves 6 August 2010 Last updated at 19:19 ET A grey wolfThe grey wolf was nearly hunted to extinction in the US by the 1930s. Some facts: * Largest wild member of the dog family * Lives in packs of two to 12 individuals typically consisting of a single breeding pair and their offspring * Packs inhabit territories of 200-500 sq miles, and will defend their patch against other wolves * In a survey last year, the US found 1,645 wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains A federal judge has ordered the US to put Rocky Mountain grey wolves back on a list of protected endangered species. Encouraged by the recovery of the once nearly-extinct wolf, the US last year moved to allow wolf hunts in two states while protecting them in a third. But a judge ruled the law did not permit the US to protect part of a species population while allowing hunting of the rest. Despite the ruling, Idaho said it would seek federal approval for a wolf hunt. The decision puts wolves in the states of Montana and Idaho back on the endangered species list following their removal last year. Wyoming's wolves had remained protected because the US government was unsatisfied with the state's wolf protection plan. In Montana, US District Judge Donald Molloy came down on the side of a coalition of conservation groups who had challenged the US Fish and Wildlife Service's move to take the grey wolf off the endangered species list in Montana and Idaho. Among several arguments, the coalition said the law did not permit the Fish and Wildlife Service to "partially delist" protected species - protecting the wolf in one state but not others. This kitty has found a safe place in my fenced yard. Kitty has no collar.I think it's been abandoned, so I've been feeding it. The kitty likes sleeping in my gargage. I think I've been adopted by a cat.
